Hoboken Cut & Shave (Dwntwn Hoboken) — Local services in Hoboken

I'm not from Hoboken so I should have been more careful in choosing where to get an out-of-town cut. I walked in to get a simple fade haircut and specifically said I did not want hair taken off the top. If I have less hair to work with I cannot style it the way I want. However, the barber later insisted that he should cut some off the top so the fade will look better. Unless my better judgment I allowed him to cut a little and he started to cut a lot really fast. At one point I felt so uncomfortable and I told him to stop. When I got home I saw he left me with a quarter inch of hair to work work on top instead of my usual inch and a half. It's gonna take me over a month to recover from this cut. Waited 47 years to get the worst haircut of my life. Unless you're a premier barber who people are lining up to see, or you have a relationship with your client, trust what the client tells you. The client styles their hair daily and knows...

Worst Experience with Hairdresser Claudine. Avoid this Saloon or at least Claudine.

I normally go for hairdresser Clara but this time she wasn’t there so thought to get a haircut from Claudine. Claudine did irreparable damage to the hair at the back of my head by running the trimmer like an amateur. I had to go back all the way from Jersey City for fixing a major screwup, Other hairdresser Michele tried her best to fix it but the screw up done by Claudine is completely beyond repair for now. Michele definitely tried to make it look a little better and was extremely helpful. Owner called to apologize but she tried to defend Claudine saying Claudine is their experienced hairdresser.

YES-I used to work at buzz-and YES I still make sure I go there for my cut and color and YES I still refer everyone I know that lives in Hoboken (and Jersey City) to go to Buzz Cuts because they are the best in town at an affordable price. The stylists are great...they know what they're doing...have great skills and LISTEN to your needs and sometimes they even go above and beyond to make you feel welcome like filling your parking meter when you have your hair in foils... what more could you want??!!! There's a reason the Buzz has been in Hoboken for almost 15 years because they're amazing and aim to give every customer the best experience...
