Went today for a couples massage. The only reason this place gets two stars is because Rosemary was great.
First of all, they charge you 40 dollars extra to make it a couple massage when it's just two separate rooms with a door open between. Absolutely ridiculous.
We were suppose to get swedish massages, but my husband said his was so deep tissue he expects bruises tomorrow. I could hear him saying owe multiple times from the room next door.
The worst part of the entire experience was post massage. I went to the front desk, and wanted to pay. The very rude receptionist said "we need you to fill out the consent form we sent you". (Strange they want this AFTER my massage). I asked when she sent it to my email, she said when I arrived. Well, obviously I hadn't checked my email WHILE I was getting a massage. I checked my email, no consent forms there. I had her resend it to another email address. Still didn't come. I asked if I could fill it out on paper. She said no very rudely and just stared at me. I said "I don't know what you want me to do, I'm not getting it in my email and I would like to pay so I can leave". Again, she just looked at me. I asked to send it to my husband's email address. She said no she couldn't do that because it would change his information in the system. I asked how his info was in the system, she said "it was given to us". My husband has never been to this place.... So I just asked again how we could solve the problem. And then she let me fill them out from her computer. My husband never filled out a consent form..... Nothing.
It was one of the worst spa experiences I have ever had and I won't be back. I feel like I wasted 330 dollars. For mediocre massages, and a rude staff member.
Save your money and go...
Read moreI first came to HelloskinBeauty in January looking to find somewhere to have monthly facials local to port imperial. My first appointment when I showed up the receptionist and owner looked at me shocked as they were not expecting a client. I pulled up mt confirmation email/text, but they had nothing booked in the system. I was supposed to have a back to back massage/facial, and I was told to come back another day. The facial eventually done by subpar at best. I decided to give them another chance as my rescheduled massage with Raymond was really good!!
Next comes April, I booked 3 appointments due to a promotion and figured I would try the services again. Two out of three of my appointments were cancelled on me less than 24 hours before the appointment asking me to reschedule, very frustrating. I chose not to reschedule but continued to have multiple calls for days asking me to reschedule with them, annoying.
My 3rd appointment was booked as a hydrafacial with eddy who was lovely! However the equipment was broken and I did not receive the red light mask that I paid for with the treatment ( not his fault at all) but was charged full price by the receptionist. She told me that he substituted a clay like mask, this is not the same thing.
Too many inconveniences for an expensive spa, they lost by business after 4th strike unfortunately. I am always the only one in there when I have tried//attempted to go, should have been my sign apparently.
If you do decide to visit, Raymond was great for massage and Eddie was...
Read moreI wish I didn’t have to give one star because my first experience here last spring was positive. However, today’s experience was poor at best. I arrived five minutes early to my appointment only to be told that apparently the staff had left me a voicemail yesterday (I have absolutely no voicemail on my phone - in fact I got a new SIM card recently and my voicemail isn’t even set up - nor do I even have evidence of a call) to tell me my appointment was being moved to another spa “down the street,” which was a 12 minute walk away or a 30 minute total walk from my apartment. I had no idea or I would have driven my car instead of take the light rail, which doesn’t stop near this other spa. Luckily the other spa was fantastic but again Spa Society failed. They never had me pay them and of course the other spa, who was doing Spa Society a favor, wasn’t going to take my payment. The other spa called Spa Society, who said they would call me back for me to pay. I had also asked for a call back from their manager. Lo and behold, it’s 5:30PM and still no call from the manager nor any call from them so I could pay for my service. I wrote an email that I doubt their staff will see since none of them are picking up the phone anymore. Overall disorganized and poor service. The staff was barely apologetic when I told them how much they had inconvenienced me. I would really suggest...
