EDIT: It has been over a week - I still have not received a call nor a contact to try and solve this. ATT customer service is telling me the store needs to help me, the store originally told me they cannot handle the claim. I do not live near Hoboken so cannot just pop by the store. I am extremely frustrated. To add my service was discontinued because I did not pay as I am awaiting a solution to this mess. I am looking to speak with an area manager ASAP please.
My husband and I signed up with FirstNet at an event in our local town hall. The staff member helping me was out of the Hoboken store (which I only knew based on the conversation we were having not because it was readily provided to me). We were quoted a lower bill than what we currently had with Verizon, new phones (to be paid in installments) and promised 2 100$ gift cards. Our first bill was astronomical. I could not get in touch with the staff member and remembered she mentioned she worked in the Hoboken store. The store did not know who I was talking about but said they would get in touch with the manager who would contact me. I was never contacted. I called again and they told me that employee no longer worked with the company and to contact customer service. After spending hours on the phone with customer service they told me to go to a store. I went to the one in Garden State Plaza. There I was informed that I was misquoted. It was GSP who informed me it would have to be Hoboken that would help me. I do not live near Hoboken and am requesting a manager or area manager reach out to me to handle this situation. This is completely unacceptable. The back and forth been absolutely frustrating, but being lied to just to get a sale is...
Read moreThis the THE worst experience I have ever had with AT&T! Basically, I lost my phone and went to this store asking for new SIM card but with my old number to be activate on my old iPhone 7. The staff Francesco told me the reason that it was not able to activate the new SIM card with my old number on my old iPhone is because my old iPhone won’t support 5g and recommended me to buy the AT&T phone telling me confidently that if I buy that phone the new sims with old number can work! I trusted him and gave him my credit card but asked if he can make sure it work before making the purchase. He didn’t listen just mentioned it is AT&T phone and it will work. Then he swiped my card and went into the room to try activate the SIM card. Three hours later - he came to me said he failed to activate the SIM card on the new iPhone and can’t give me refund because it is non-refundable. He said the only way you can do it is to call AT&T yourself. He also mentioned that my prepaid account was suspended since Sept 2021 which was totally incorrect! I have being paying for May 2022 and my next due will be 5/24/2022. There is no way I will buy a new phone without making it work and not getting the refund! This is ridiculous and definitely THE worst experience I had with AT&T. I have already submitted a legal complaint through the AT&T website and is waiting for a resolution within 60 days. I will try every way to get...
Read moreI am so diappointed in the service I just received in this store. I bought this phone charger in January from the Hoboken store and have not been able to use it as it doesn't fit with the phone charger I have. When I purchased it back in Jan the agent saw my phone (the guy who sold it to me is who I dealt with today) and said it would work. When I got home it didn't fit in my charger and sat on a shelf. Should I have brought back sooner...yes. Did my mom pass away and have I been preoccupied...yes. When the agent at the store told me I shouldn't have waited all this time I refrained from saying that to him because it wouldn't have made a difference. When I asked him why would he have sold it to me if he knew it wouldn't fit on my phone he only said he couldn't remember what was said that long ago but he wouldn't have sold it just for the sake of selling it. His only other suggestion was to go on Amazon and buy the appropriate charger since it was cheaper than what ATT was selling them for. There were three agents sitting in there and none of them could have cared less. With so much competition in the cell phone market I would have hoped at least the customer service ATT provided would be a priority in order to stand out from the rest. Sadly that is not the case. I don't know if it is better with Verizon, etc but it is not good here in...
