Disappointed, I went into the shop on 2/12 looking for some flowers for my girl. Hoping to get a better idea of my options, since I'm usually not the best at picking. I was helped by a elder lady who after asking what I was looking for, suggested mixing red roses with another color roses, I liked the idea and suggested the other color to go along with the red roses. I chose, was a white Rose with a Pink/Redish edges, similar to the one attached below. After choosing both (TWO) of the roses, which the elder lady immediately put aside (both red and white pink-bordered roses), I even took a second look at the group she set aside to make sure the flowers looked fresh. I picked a vase, paid in advance (as I was asked by the elderly lady) to pick up on 2/13 , for a total of $164.00. Today as I came to the shop to pick up the flowers I had already paid for, I was given given a bouquet THREE different color of roses: White and pink (which I never looked at or chose) along with the Red roses. Not only did the arrangement look plain and uncared for, but it was simply not what I had chosen and agreed to pay for. When I notified the the staff of the error, I was told the following: "It will take us about an hour to fix this for you and we're really busy right now." It saddens me to write this review as I've purchased some really nice arrangements from this place before, but after the type of service I was given today I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone I know.
Note: Before leaving, I was asked by the an elderly Asian lady who appeared to be the owner Hudson Flowers, what flowers I had ordered (perhaps implying a confusion over a phone order), to which I replied that I had been in the store the day before and had seen her (owner) personally set the two types of roses apart, right before I paid.    Read moreThis place can be hot or cold sometimes. They have a beautiful array of flowers. Hudson Flowers is one of the few places in the area that offers Ohara roses.
In August I purchased an arrangement for my birthday. I specifically asked for pink and peachy colors. What I received was an orangey and peach arrangement. It was beautiful but not what I asked for. In the end, I made it work.
Today I visited the shop in particular asking for Ohara Roses and Peonies. I know things are pricier on Motherâs Day week but $12 for one peony is insane. Nevertheless I continued working with the owner for a small arrangement for my fatherâs death anniversary. The theme was white and my main request was an arrangement with Oharaâs and Peonies.
When she picks the flowers I noticed the roses werenât Oharaâs when I asked her to confirm if that was what I asked for she quickly said no that the ones she picked are as good as Oharaâs. When I asked if she had Oharaâs in stock she said yes but for $8 ea. In a condescending manner as if she thought I was looking for cheaper. I asked her to give me what I asked for which then she proceeded to get snippy with me.
Iâm a paying customer. I didnât blink at her cost even though it was ridiculous because at that same shop Iâve paid $6 for Oharaâs. But I get it, itâs Motherâs Day wknd and everything in 2022 is expensive. This was for a special sentimental occasion and money wasnât a factor. I think she was saving the Oharaâs for her wknd arrangements but she just shouldâve said she didnât have any to offer.
Iâll look for another florist for my future floral needs but itâs a shame because they do offer an amazing selection. Their staff just need to work on their customer...

Had a friend previously order from this place and she complained about both the service and the flower arrangement but I still wanted to give this place a try for myself. I ended up walking out, both the owner and assistant were nasty and rude and actually advised me to go somewhere else if I wanted to. I shouldâve listened to my friend and saved time by going somewhere else.
Reply to owner: I guess I will be more specific - As soon as I walked in the assistant was sitting in the middle of the store on the floor eating and I had to walk up to her and say hello before she even greeted me. I also did specify which color I was looking for which was Rose gold or something similar to it and the owner who walked out after did not even want to help me find one, she even asked me to go around the counter and look for myself. Then after I told her gold was ok and I could go with a light pink, she proceeded to tell me to go somewhere else because all I was going to order were corsages. All in all the customer service IS in fact horrible for all these reasons alone and if you run a business you shouldnât treat any new customer that way regardless if they were making a purchase or not.
