I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this salon, and I feel compelled to share what happened so others can make an informed decision.
When I booked my appointment, I had two simple goals: Full coverage of my hair roots, covering any grays Blending my natural regrowth line for an even, cohesive color
During the consultation, I clearly stated I did not want to use bleach. The stylist recommended a high-lift color instead. I also declined highlights because I didn’t want to just “hide” the grays—I wanted full coverage. Unfortunately, the results did not meet any of my expectations. The high-lift color was applied below the line of regrowth and overlapped into already-lightened hair, creating a noticeable band that was lighter than the rest of my hair. Worse yet, my gray hairs were still clearly visible as the high lift and toner dod not cover them.
I voiced my concerns before leaving the first appointment, and the stylist recommended that I shampoo my hair a few times to soften the tone. I did as advised, but this only made things worse. The toner faded some, and my roots turned brassy, but obviously the band was still visible and washing would not fix this. So, I returned for a correction.
At the second appointment, I was told toner would fix the patchiness and even out the banding issue. They toned the roots first, then the rest of the hair. However, after the blow-dry, my midsection to ends were slightly darker than my roots, creating a whole new imbalance. It was not fixed—also my grays were still not fully covered. The toner appeared sheer and did not fully correct or cover the uneven color from the original mistake.
What made this experience truly unacceptable was the way I was treated by the salon educator, Jada, who blow-dried my hair. When I politely pointed out that the mid-to-ends were darker than the roots, she completely dismissed me and claimed “your hair is all one color.” Her tone was rude, patronizing, and felt like gaslighting. Whether she was inexperienced or just unwilling to acknowledge the issue, it was unprofessional and disrespectful—especially coming from someone in an educator role.
I had to leave quickly to pick up my children and didn’t have time to continue the discussion in person, but no one followed up to check if I was satisfied or if the correction was successful.
To be clear, this review is not about the stylist who originally did my hair—she was kind and did her best within her skill set. I felt she genuinely wanted me to be happy with my hair. My issue lies with the poor technical execution, the salon’s failure to deliver what was promised, and most of all, the unacceptable conduct of the educator, who should have demonstrated empathy and, not condescension. Jada was very dismissive of my concerns and tried to tell me my hair was cohesive when clearly it's not. As you can see in the photos, the ends are darker than the roots. The band is also still visible, although a little bit less than before.
I’m left with uneven, patchy color after two appointments, and a strong sense that my concerns were brushed off. I will not...
Read moreThis review is for Ashley (stylist) and Kelsey (colorist). I first met Kelsey almost a year ago. I was her model in February 2020 and i went in with my previously box dyed hair hoping for a balayage. Kelsey really took her time, explaining to me that she was going to try to get me the lightest she could without damaging my hair. That is ALWAYS her priority. So, that first session she was able to get me down to a very wearable warm orange tone (NOT BRASSY) and told me to come back in a couple weeks to give my hair a break and then we would go lighter. I came back about two weeks later for my second appointment and Kelsey worked her magic, always taking her time, paying close attention to EVERY detail and after about 4 hours i was FINALLY blonde. My hair felt amazing, it looked amazing and i knew then and there that i had found my forever girl. Not to mention Kelsey is one of the SWEETEST people i have ever met, she's SO friendly, makes you feel so comfortable. That was my FIRST experience with Kelsey and i have been back to her three more times since, which brings me to the appointment i had yesterday. I LOVE going to see this woman. Not only is she beyond talented but she has also become a friend. Yesterday i told her i wanted to keep my darker roots and just bring the blonde back up around my face and in places all around to blend it so we essentially decided on a balayage. Towards the end of my appointment we decided to gray me out too which i'm REALLY happy we did. I NEVER leave disappointed after seeing Kelsey and my hair ALWAYS feels healthy. If you're looking for a colorist look no further i promise you will never go to anyone else again. Attached photos of my blonde journey below.
Now, onto Ashley who quite literally saved my life yesterday after getting a dreadful cut somewhere else that SAME morning. Ashley was able to squeeze me in and calmed all my fears immediately, very confident that she would be able to fix the staircase that was left on my head by the previous "stylist" i went to. She sat me down, APPALLED at how someone could let me leave their salon looking the way i did. My hair was blunt and choppy and she went in with her magic hands texturizing and softening my hair, while maintaining as much length as she could and by the time she was finished you wouldn't have known i had ever had a bad cut in the first place. she literally SAVED me. I'm in love with my hair now. Its even, my layers look amazing and she was SO sweet and warm every step of the way. Last two photos is Kelsey's and Ashley's work to create my final look!
Lastly, i just want to leave a little overall review on this location specifically. Every single person i have come into contact with here is so sweet, so professional coupled with a beautifully well lit interior. i actually look FORWARD to my appointments. Beautiful location, lovely people. I can honestly not see myself going anywhere...
Read moreIn March I had a haircut with Dary who did a great job in advising what style would look good since my hair was grown out and he took his time to go through everything including how I should be styling my hair at home after leaving. He also offered their beverage menu ! He’s a great conversationalist and at the end I was extremely satisfied with the haircut and style he did.
While doing this, I met the amazing Jennifer Valera ! I told her that I wanted to get my hair colored which she was elated to hear & gave me her contact information. After finishing my cut and style with Dary, I booked another cut and style with him and color with Jennifer for July. In the months to follow from March-July , I communicated with Jen on various hair colors until we finally decided on one. She’s a true hair colorist / magician that also took her time to make sure everything was perfect. She made sure I was hydrated; offering their menu of beverages. Exactly as the picture shown to Jennifer, she replicated it, doing the exact color for my hair, experimenting with different color swatches and showing me. Upon arrival that day, we were both excited, as she greeted with a hug and ready to start the process ! I told her my hair is her canvas , she painted a perfect picture. I could not be more happier in the way she colored my hair. IT WAS TRUE PERFECTION ! I was left stunned at her abilities to replicate the exact color requested. Dary gave me another cut & style shortly after where he discussed and advised on hair length and what he thought was best for the style and easiest for me to put together as id be rushing out on a daily basis. As always, I was extremely satisfied with his works and how he pays attention to each finer detail.
Overall, I will continue to use the services of BOND Salon. Dary is a hair genius and Jennifer is a master colorist & magician; both are truly passionate about what they do. A HUGE THANK YOU TO BOTH OF THEM FOR MY RECENT CUT, STYLE & COLOR THAT WAS GIVEN MANY COMPLIMENTS AT THE TOMORROWLAND...
