I usually don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this experience put a damper on my family’s morning.
We had an unfortunate encounter at the USPS branch at 89 River St, Hoboken, NJ 07030.
My family recently arrived from Ukraine, and my brother needed to send an important letter to the NJ MVC. Since the envelope was directly from MVC, the process should have been straightforward.
As my brother is still learning English, I was on the phone to help translate. When I asked the employee, "Is there any problem with sending the letter?" I was initially told, "No, there’s no problem." However, in the end, the employee refused to assist him and instead served customers who were behind him in line.
I strongly believe that all customers—regardless of language, background, or any other factor—deserve to be treated with respect and given equal service. A simple explanation of the process would have made a big difference. Thankfully, my brother went to another branch, where the staff was kind and helped him send the letter without any issues.
I hope this feedback helps improve customer service for everyone...

The front desk here are (not from a lack of a better word) are simply LAZY, REFUSES to post mark my tax envelopes (they argue that if I just drop it, the people in the back would do it, NOW MIND YOU the round metal post marking device was just between him and me and it would take about 2 seconds of his time to just post mark date stamp my two envelope).
His argument took two minutes which cost him and me more time had he just post date marked two envelope (two seconds) of mine.
I took my envelopes with me and went in line again to another staff and she gave me the same argument again. Unbelievable !
So when the IRS tells you to post mark, tell the IRS some branches have a culture of laziness and it's not possible to get a post mark.
Shame on the lazy workers here. ALL OF THEM are LAZY could not care less. The culture in this particular branch is the reason why I do prefer FEDEX or UPS whenever I can do so.
Never would I come...
Read moreI went in to get my money order for my rent. First the Hispanic woman with glasses didn't know how to count she was trying to give me money back. I had to tell her no you have to take that and give me $2 back. The Asian woman with glasses says i have to fill out the slip. Secondly I never had to complete the green n white slip for certified mail. I never done that or weight it. They have a scale and they do that. Also they input the information in the system and it prints on the certified mail slip. Well apparently today was lazy postal Friday because I was instructed to do it myself in which i have NEVER done it myself. However what was I expecting from them when they dont even deliver the mail to my place of employment at all. Some days they feel like working some days they don't. I have no idea how the pandemic has affected them but if you don't want to work go home!...
