The good; Dine-In theater with a better menu than most AMC theaters who seemingly microwave burger sliders to a pulp. Specifically they have much better sandwiches, including burgers. Recliner seats works. Clean
The bad; If you order food via the App, you have to pay a $2 delivery fee Also the App offer limited food customization options, including Mayo for my fries. Therefore in the past when I arrived at the movie theater, I went to the Bar and requested a cup of Mayo with my order. However three out of the past four orders in the past month, the cup of Mayo was not included when my food was delivered. Twice the employee delivering did on my request bring me a cup of Mayo. However on Star Wars anniversary May 4th 2024, looking forward to rewatch The Phantom Menace on the big screen, I requested my cup of Mayo to a seemingly obvious manager or asst. mgr in the foyer. The Mayo did not come with my food, nor did the employee delivering bring one upon my request. Worst was after five minutes of waiting for my mayo, my fries were literally at room temperature, so with the only dipping supplied, ketchup it was quite a bad experience. Also at this pointy my burger was barely edible as it was only luke warm. Finally my paid food delivery was 20 minutes late. Takes 5-10 minutes to get a drink refill, because fountain machines are in employee access only area. As an example after finishing a movie a few weeks ago, I asked for a refill on the way out and had to wait 10 minutes!?! As in many theaters, the ambient lighting, even when the movie starts, is still to bright, including the very bright emergency "Exit" neon sign. Employees kept coming in and out delivering food and drinks, up until I left 30 minutes into the movie. Extremely distracting! During the first half an hour, several parents had to bring out their little kids for an apparent bathroom trip AND to get a refill on the monster cups as tall as the kids head! I mean no freaking wonder the kids have to pee during the movie! Not AMC's fault, but still very distracting! Although the picture quality of the previous movies in this theater was good, the Phantom Menace quality was only about half as good as the Phantom Menace I saw just a few months ago at home on my 75" 4K QLED screen, played off a 4K UHD disc. All of the above negative experience made my decision to leave the theater after half an hour! Parts of the movie experience for me is not only to watch or rewatch a movie on the big screen, it is also because of the vibe, that is the entire auditorium crowd's reaction which is contagious and thereby influences and enhances my own reaction. But another big part is no distractions! And it's really ironic how twice before the movie starts, they promote "No distractions" for only the delivery employees to distract way into the movie!
After about two months of being an A+ Stubs member, I have now decided I will let the membership expire. Until better options, including membership and decent food, no not Regal because their Crosssroads theater sucks too, I am going to watch movies at home where I have great picture, sound, any homemade or delivery food I want, plus total control over distractions and lighting!
To AMC Corporate. If you want a movie lover like me back to your theaters, you need to observe the below changes.
Donât waste your money at this Movie Theater if you can help it! Worst customer service and movie experience ever!!! Food took an hour to receive. When I went out to complain, I had to wait in line because there were 5 other people complaining about the same issue. Apparently this is a common occurrence. When they finally brought my family their food, they got the order wrong and it was cold. I then spent another 15 minutes trying to get them to bring me my right order. They told me that they didnât have the missing item on their receipt, and I showed them mine. They said that I can get a refund and I said that I wanted to eat, but I wanted it right away and I was then told that they canât promise it will come out quickly. So, I said I wanted to talk with a manager. They told me to go to the front. I told the person helping me that I have 4 kids in the theater waiting for me and I cannot go to the front and that I wanted a manager to come to me. He said sorry the manager canât come to me, I have to go to the front. By this time I have missed close to 45 minutes of the movie I paid for.. Unwillingly, I went to the front only to have to wait in line again because because there were more people complaining. 55 minutes missed of the movie at this point. The manager never came out, instead I spoke with an assistant manager who said they can refund my food. I told them that at this point Iâve missed half of the movie and would like a refund for my ticket as well. Assistant spoke with the manager, at this point I have missed 65 minutes of my movie, manager refused to come out. The assistant manager said they cannot refund my ticket.. Mind you, I had bought six tickets for my family and was only asking for a refund of my ticket, which I felt was reasonable. I asked why not, they said âaccountability issuesâ. I asked what that meant and they said they werenât accountable for me missing the movie. I spent another 15 minutes arguing that they are accountable for me missing the movie because if they brought our food in a timely manner, and got our order right, and didnât send me to the front to talk with a âmanagerâ, then I wouldnât have missed my movie. Got nowhere! They refunded me $11 for fries I didnât order. I was able to catch the last 25 minutes of the movie.. Needless to say I will never come back to this theater ever again! I bought 6 tix for $72, and food worth $150. We love going to movies and try to go often, usually 6 times a year.. I will never give my money to Holly Springs AMC ever again! Do not go here if you can help it. Go to Waverly Place Cinebistro instead. Close to similar cost, but Waverly place has way better customer service, facilities are better, and food is brought to you very quickly, hot,...
Read moreI donât normally come to google reviews, but I feel this needs to be brought to attention. A group of friends and my boyfriend and I went to see Oppenheimer. We havenât been to the movies in years. We came in and ordered drinks at the bar before going to our seats. We stopped at the womenâs restroom. The restroom was absolutely horrendous. Granted, it was the end of a Saturday night, but it was absolutely disgusting. Toilet paper all over the floors, paper towels overflowing the trash, feminine products lying all over the floor, and paper towel holders broken on the ground. We got to our seats and waited for our drinks for about 30 minutes. However, this is not what irritated my boyfriend and I. The entire staff (bartenders and food runners) were nice and doing their best on a busy Saturday night while extremely under staffed. We feel where things went wrong here is the management and the ownership. These workers are making probably no more than $7.50/hour, and are basically servers. They are just young high schoolers trying their hardest. The minimum wage these workers are making is hardly enough to cover gas for a week, let alone a car, phone, and anything else they may pay for. What boggles my mind is management is trying to make these workers run into each theater to bring food and drinks to people. When logistically, if you are short staffed, why not make it like the old theaters where the movie go-ers get off their butts and go to the counter and order food and drinks there? This way, the workers can focus on how the theater bathrooms and halls look, rather than running around like chickens with their heads cut off. This is a horribly run establishment and they need to do better for their employees and their customers. Maybe if they paid their employees more, they would have more workers and wouldnât be such a mess inside...
