Mi Cancun Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Holly Springs

First of all, they might want to consider moving to a larger location as there is NO parking available near the restaurant and after reading other reviews seems to be busy constantly being near the movie theater. Couldn't even talk to my daughter due to all the noise.

First of all, food was very good even though I didn't get 1 part of my meal. It's the service that needs work. Waitress came only like twice to fill drinks and then got rude with my daughter. My daughter had eaten lunch late in the day (she's a server too btw) and wasn't very hungry so she wanted to order off the kid menu(you can do that where she works) and the waitress was admament that she couldn't do that because it was for kids only....who cares?? Are they the kids meal police? Ok...back to looking at the menu and I'm still calm.

Only saw waitress like twice to fill drinks and that's it. Still calm...finally ready to go and I had a coupon for Buy 1 entree get 1 Half off...check comes and I give waitress coupon and she comes back to tell me I can't use it because in very small print and you will need a magnifying glass to read it..you have to buy 2 drinks (I had water and my daughter a soda) to use the coupon....WHAT IN THE WORLD!! SERIOUSLY!! I asked to speak to the manager and complained about the small print that states the specifications to use the coupon and he wanted to argue with me and said I should've seen the fine print that is hard to read if you were 20 and not 50 like myself. Yeh I can read it in a half lit restaurant! Anyways, I told him to bring me another soda to go and used the coupon and left.

Moved here in May and we are seeking restaurants to frequent but we'll find another Mexican restaurant to spend our money. Gave it a 1 even though the food was good the parking, noise level, attitude of waitress and manager (who's willing to lose customers over a soda) I think a 1...

Let me start off by saying I love Mi Cancun as a franchise. It was my go to Mexican restaurant for work place and Mexican place if I craved Mexican. Last time I visited this particular location it was good and we had a great time with the bartender. However, that all changed today by 1 terrible service. We walked in on a Friday at 2PM because we wanted decent Mexican food for lunch price because we love getting the lunch price Mexican food. When the server, white skinned 5'9"ish Hispanic male in his 40s, we were on the lunch menu and asked for Fajita which was $12 because we wanted a good deal and share our food (we're on a budget and wedding diet but still wanted some good food). Food came out very quickly and we enjoyed it. We looked at the Friday drink deal and saw that the large draft beer was $7 so next time (probably after 15minutes) we put the order in. After that he never came so next time I saw him I had my card out and gave it to him. He brought the bill back without the break down and I thought it was weird that it was $32.50 cents. I think he knew he was trying to rip us off because normally you bring back the breakdown too since the customer never saw it. I think he was trying to rip us off by charging $17 for the Fajita and $12 for the beer and get a good tip. If I wanted to pay $30 for lunch I would've went to a Sushi place and ordered 2 meals not order lunch from a Mexican restaurant. This was the first time I felt like a walking money bag in the states. Last time I felt like this was is Cancun Mexico where they try to rip you off as much as possible. I really hope they're not trying to bring back Cancun hospitality of trying to rip off...

(Aug 2023) This place has gone down the crapper. The food used to be incredible but, has just become inedible. I ordered a California Burrito with steak. No lie ONLY half the burrito had steak the other half was stuffed with rice. The refried beans were as orange as a Harvest Pumpkin soup and tasted like burnt coffee.🤢 What a complete waste of time and money. So much for giving someone a second chance. (Mar 2023) What happened to this place? It started off terribly. We called for To- Go and the person who answered the phone argued with my wife that we could not order a certain item even though it ordered it multiple times before strike one. Then we picked up the food, on time, it was ice cold, and while I was there I pointed out in the menu that he option I had wanted IS STILL available and the waitress was wrong. Because the food was so cold, we had to bring it home, put it in the oven to warm it up. So, that was another 45 minute delay, strike two, and then when we ate it it had no flavor except for salt, enough salt, I swear, every deer in the triangle was attracted to our dining room. It was disgusting. (strike three, you're out) What happened to this place? It used to be the go-to for Mexican food. Now, if I want chronic hypertension or to hunt deer, I'll just order an entree and put in my backyard. Not impressed. Very disappointed. I wish I could get my money back.

(Oct 2022) Still our favorite Mexican venue. Close to home and a wonderful menu. The only problem with giving a well deserved '5' Stars is that it will increase the crowd level, but the wait line...
