Recently attended the 1st adult cooking class at this location, but this cooking class was a bit of a disaster. From start to finish, it was a mess. The class was poorly organized — we were given very little instruction, small portion of ingredients, the kitchen was a total wreck, & no one seemed to know what was going on. We spent most of the time waiting around, trying to figure out what we were supposed to be doing & almost doing our own thing. We didn’t really cook much as much was done for us. The young girl working did check in on us as a group to help, but she didn’t really know too much either. The older lady didn’t dare come or look our way.
I can honestly say, my coworkers & I had more fun people watching & envisioning the experience differently than actually learning anything. As people who work in customer service, we know what it means to deliver a good experience, & this was not it. Currently, it is not worth the time, the money, or the energy.
Moving forward the only positive thing I can say is that there is now new ownership of this location & will hopefully be able to shape this experience into a better one...
Read moreMy twin granddaughters attended a class and absolutely LOVED it! By the time they finished telling me all about the class, the food, the fun, I felt excited to sign them up for more.
A couple days after they attended, I had them at work with me where I am the manager of a kitchen at a baseball stadium. They were helping me organize and clean to prepare for opening season. As they were doing the dishes, they asked me if I knew what a specific kitchen tool was for and then proceeded to tell me exactly what it was called and the many uses of it. They were spot on. I asked them how they knew all of this helpful information and they said, “We learned it the other day at Flour Power!”
I stopped in the other day and met the new owner, Jake. He is incredibly kind and it’s obvious he loves what he does. He is excited about the future and has wonderful ideas and plans for the business. I have no doubt that this Flour Power location has a bright future under his ownership.
If you haven’t been there yet, try it out. It’s fun...
Read moreParents with food allergy kids beware…We attended a birthday party here for 4 yr olds. I filled out the form prior to attending stating my daughter has a dairy allergy. The only thing they did was give her a red wrist band indicating she has a food allergy. No accommodations were set up for her and the staff even handed her a block of cheese to grate which I quickly intervened on. Train your staff on allergies!!! I took out a pancake from her snack bag for her to grate instead and the staff put it on top of her pizza instead of cheese… it wasn’t meant to be used, it was just so she could be included. One staff member did apologize, and found her an alternative for the dipping milk chocolate. Very disappointed, would not recommend to anyone with a kid...
