This place has only gotten worse under new “management” gym is supposed to open at 5AM promptly, my wife and I sat outside, with a large group of other members until 5:15AM yesterday. No one ever came to open the gym, so eventually, we just went up the road to a different gym. This happens far too often at this location. There have been dozens of instances in the past year of us having to leave because no one would open the gym. If you are going to charge premium prices and advertise a certain set of hours, you need to provide the service during those hours to your customers. It’s truly that simple. If your staff cannot manage waking up to come and do their job, hire better staff. There is only one worker, Riley, who consistently ensures the gym is open on time, always keeps things cleaned and restocked, and goes above and beyond to be polite and kind to guests. Machines stay broken for months at a time. The leg extension machine has been broken about a month. It stays broken more than half of the year. Management won’t invest in a new one that is not so prone to breaking. Despite this machine staying broken most of the year management goes and invests in a calf raise machine … this was good to see as they’ve needed one for years. The only issue is that this may be the Flemsiest most poorly built machine I’ve ever seen in any gym on the planet, it feel like it’s made of paper mache and could break with a gust of wind. It’s more of a safety hazard than a usable piece of equipment.. Gym stays absolutely filthy, some of these machines look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. There are constantly roaches on the gym floor and locker room. Last week there was a frog in the free weight area. This is just not the gym you’d expect for this price. There are certain cons that are just avoidable at a commercial chain gym. But not being open on time when 30-40 of your paying customers stand outside waiting for you, letting machines sit broken for months on end, letting the property remain absolutely filthy and disgusting. That’s just unacceptable when you can get a $15 membership up the road where they will definitely be open, equipment will stay maintained, and the facility is clean … and also offers far for equipment and amenities. Worst part about all this? I was asked for my feedback about 6 months ago. My feedback was that equipment stays broken for months and they constantly fail to open on time. I was assured that would all be fixed with their new plan and management ordering parts in advance. But here we are. ZERO improvement on any of the feedback they assured would be taken into consideration and improve upon. Don’t waste your time here until management decides to invest in quality employees and quality equipment. Read moreAfter completing my 21 day trial, I immediately paid for a 6 month membership. This gym fulfills my wants and needs. From the variety of classes, personal trainers always on hand to answer my questions, and the sauna/steam rooms (main reason I joined). So many positive attributes about this club. They are friendly and follow up with their members, including a sweet hand written card which was nice to receive! But it does have its flaws I will say. Unfortunately the sauna is not turned on in the morning, so when I arrive to the gym I have to turn up the heat and wait for it to reach temp, this takes at least 30 minutes. My commute is 30-40 minutes depending on time of day or gym I go to (I live in between two). I’ve called in the morning a couple times asking if the sauna can please be turned on, though have been told if a female is not working then it can not be turned on due to its location; in the ladies locker room. Another complaint I have is that the steam room is not operational at the seaboard location, this was not discussed at any point when I paid for my 6 months up front. I have also driven the 30/40 minutes to attend a yoga class only to find out it’s been canceled for the day, this has happened twice! Aside from the trainers who cancel their classes, all others have been very pleasant to work with! Now I know it may not seem like a big deal, but for someone who has made the leap towards bettering their lifestyle through attending a “fancy” gym, it has been a bit of a drag that these disappointments keep popping up. I’m less than a month into this 6 month commitment and have already considered moving elsewhere that has reliable sauna and steam rooms. Read moreI would like to start by saying I have been an o2 fitness member for a long time and have always been pleased with their gyms. I especially loved the new location here at Holly springs (specifically because of there two large grass areas). Well today, I was in mid workout when a very rude, B** , excuse my language but the word suits her well, of a trainer named JESSICA came into my area (very corner side of the grass I might add where I was bothering no one) and proceeded to grab my workout mat that I had even moved further to my corner as I saw her approaching to make room for her and her client, she grabbed my workout mat as I was about to use it and proceeded to move it. I took my headphones out because I thought she just figured I was not using it and told her I was using that area. She rudely said” I know but I need this area” and tosssed my mat on the rack of dumbbells, rolled her eyes and proceeded to take over my space for her client. Let’s also be clear I was using 1/4 of the grass area upstairs which is a pretty large area. The ladies at the front desk are always very nice and I lodged a complaint with them regarding this very rude trainer. I am strongly considering canceling my membership now and would advise everyone to think twice about joining and think very hard before you train with this woman. I would recommend the o2 in Fuquay Varina. Friendly staff, larger facility, and two awesome trainers that are extremely knowledgeable and KIND. I would like to add this is the first ever review I have left on a business.
