Honolulu Park Place — Local services in Honolulu

I came home as a brand new paraplegic, just trying to adjust to my new reality, and management slapped a citation on my wheelchair accessible rental car for not having a decal. SERIOUSLY???? I was home 12 hours !!!!!!! This is an ongoing issue with them so much in fact that my other car I took across the street to the public parking and pay $150 a month To park it over there because they kept harassing me while we’re having a sticker. When would think having a sticker would not be the hill to die on.. HOWEVER I personally know two women who have been followed home and assaulted by bad actors. The sticker gives your condo location Honolulu Park Place. You’re essentially telling a stranger where you live. If the sticker did something like open the gate, I had some function I would have no problem, but if it’s just gonna give strangers my personal home address, I’m not gonna put it on my car. Especially since half of the garage does not have stickers. For whatever reason they chose to single me out on this case. On a day where they should’ve been saying welcome home Mrs. Dietrich. Here’s a get well card. I received a citation instead.!!!!!! They even knocked on my door, waking me and my dog, instead of showing a shred of compassion. They always say that they need to know by the sticker who the car belongs to well clearly they know who the car belongs to you because they knock on my door, violating my privacy. Every chance they get.

What do they expect me to do—walk down to the office? For a half a million-dollar condo, this kind of robotic, cold management is beyond disappointing.

Rules should never outweigh basic...

The building is beautiful, great location, most of the staff is fantastic... However, the old white man with the gray beard that tends the security/front desk is a huge problem in what would have been a perfect place to live. The reason we decided against this building was because of him. We spoke with some of the residents, and they explained that they know very much who we're talking about because he's ALWAYS rude, disrespectful, has no courtesy or politeness to him. Consistently aggressive with contractors and deliveries. The management is fully aware of his attitude. I was told that they receive several complaints about him all the time due to how he treats people and yet they allow him to continue. To me it is not worth (what I see as) the constant aggravation that we would see from this man. It's a shame that such a simple change in staff would benefit the building so much yet management is unwilling to make the change...

They allow people to smoke inside the unit. If you happen to rent the units near the BBQ area where people have parties, it's pretty noisy and you can smell the smoke in the unit as well. The janitors push the trash/cleaning cans on the stone path which make LOUD noises and can even be heard after closing the glass doors. I was not informed that there are extra mail boxes in the parking garage on the ground floor, not in the mailroom area. Other than that, everything else is pretty good. Staffs are friendly and...
