This is one of the most incredible experiences and it could’ve only been made by the crew we had that day. First off, I booked the wrong date (3/8 instead of 3/7)… I’m a klutz and I had booked it with my friend who made the correct date. John (photographer and tour leader) did everything he could and managed to get me on the bus. I am so grateful he did as the entire adventure was so magical. Note: the tour isn’t guaranteed to swim with dolphins, so I was swimming into this with no expectation as I understand and respect that Mother Nature is what Mother Nature does, just grateful to be there. Come to my surprise, we were honored with presence of three different kinds of dolphins which could’ve only happened because of the amazing John and captain who were incredibly diligent on spotting the dolphins and safely releasing us into the water amongst them. When I say there were dolphins everywhere, other than the air above me, they were swimming towards, away, around, and under me. I couldn’t turn my head without seeing dolphins (yes, plural). It was magical. The third drop which allowed us to free snorkel in 30ft ocean with turtles was also absolutely jaw dropping. We were there for what felt like a good hour and you can also use that time to hang out or jump off into the water. Also, John has incredible underwater photography equipment and skills, and he literally will take as many photos as you want the entire trip for $60/party which I will opt into any day as it means I will not accidentally be feeding my phone to the bottom of the ocean. They provide classic homemade Hawaiian style lunch which was not only perfect from all the swimming but was so so good. The homemade coconut dessert really was the cherry on top. There was some boat time and finished it by sailing with some bottlenose dolphins. The atmosphere heading back was so much fun, as you have music blasting and the mountains looming, and beautiful beaches just a distance away. I am terrible at names, but I can remember the faces of every single crew member and they are all so welcoming and great to be around. Their personal care for us passengers and ability to have fun with us while still making sure that safety always comes first is truly what allowed us to fully enjoy the dolphins Mother Nature graced us with that morning. Could not recommend this tour more to anyone interested in having the full potential of the best experience they could have in swimming with dolphins. Thank you John, for letting me...
Read moreThe Dolphin and Turtle Snorkeling tour is the highlight of our trip to Oahu. We had a wonderful time on the boat and while we were not able to swim with dolphins, we were fortunate to see a pod of pilot whales and were able to swim with them, TWICE! Actually, we were able to see a pod of dolphins around the same time we are getting ready to swim with the pilot whales but we have to choose which one to go for. Being able to swim with the pilot whales for us is probably a once in a lifetime experience. It doesn't end there though, we also get to swim with a sea turtle, swim with a white tip shark, and we were able to take a picture with an octopus. My kids (10 and 12) really had a blast. They got more than they ask for and my daughter said it was better that what she imagined it will be. We're really glad that we did this tour.
The crew is second to none. They have lots of positive vibes and the boat is full of energy. They truly have passion and love for the ocean and the animals. They were very patient in looking for the pods of dolphins or whales. They really want us to get the experience. Julie, Michael, JB, Nicole, Frank and the other guys really made sure that we get to do what we intended to do on that trip.
Michael is a professional photographer and did an awesome job capturing the whole experience. You have a choice to purchase the photos after the tour although I would say you have to because if you don't you'll be missing out on really good photos of the whole experience.
We'll definitely do it again if we come back.
Don't book anywhere else but INDIGO OCEAN HAWAII. You won't regret it and...
Read moreThis is ABSOLUTELY the best tour to take!!! I was worried about getting good pictures of my experience and then I found out when I got there, that they have a photographer that takes many pictures out of the water on the boat and under the water. He was super friendly and I could tell he put a lot of effort into getting the best pictures for everyone. If there was a picture I wanted all I had to do was ask and he happily did it. He had so many great ideas of pictures to have us in. He even got me and my daughter swimming with a giant turtle. He took a picture of me with my favorite crew member I call my HERO, (looks like he could be Aquaman Jr with his long hair ) he didn’t leave my side in the water so I could feel safe and always encouraged me I could do it. They do charge $60 for all the pictures taken. In my opinion that is an amazing price for all the pictures he took throughout the entire trip and I didn’t have to worry about taking any. He had a big professional camera that was able to go underwater. Overall, in my opinion, because of the crew and once in a lifetime experience, it was PRICELESS. Worth everything we paid plus much more.Thank you for making our DREAM COME TRUE!!!! Below is just a few pictures I took. I’m excited to get the ones the photographer took. He was Amazing! My HERO is the one holding life jacket with his arm up in picture. Thank you so much for being there for me every time I needed you and showing how much you cared. I wont ever forget you or this experience....
