Head down to the little beach further in instead of the long strip along the road.
This beach is very nice and calm thanks to the wave breaks they have. It's also fairly empty because it's like 5 minutes farther than the main beach. So it's great if you're looking to just relax or have a nice calm day at the beach or want to be sure you won't run into any big waves. So probably great for kids, although I'd still definitely not let them out on the water alone.

Read moreBeautiful beach from a distance. It wasn't busy when i was there (late August, mid-week, early afternoon) Unfortunately, I saw quite a few pieces of trash, including pieces of food wrapping, stickers, pieces of plastic, etc. I also saw what looked like a piece of toilet paper in the water. I absolutely recommend this beach for a walk or watch the sunset. However, for swimming, sunbathing, and chilling, there are other much nicer beaches on the island and in...
Read moreExcellent place to see turquoise and blue waters in a protected swimming area. Just outside of the coral area, surfers hang out from sunrise to sunset most days. Small schools of fish may be seen near the coral during the tide shifts The park behind the beach is large, green, and rolling in beauty. Lots of unique and large trees to marvel at as well. Looking into the canals when the tide withdraws leads to some larger schools of fish. They are waiting out the tide in the safety of shallow waters. Great place to bring your family for a day of frolic and...
