In a world filled with standard bakeries and chain donut shops, PURVÉ Donut Stop is a beacon of creativity and mouthwatering delight. From the moment you step in, you're transported into a world where indulgence and imagination know no bounds. This isn't just a donut shop; it's a culinary adventure that's as thrilling as it is delicious.

Unparalleled Flavor Variety One of the first things you notice is the awe-inspiring array of flavors. From traditional classics to inventive combinations, the menu offers a cornucopia of choices that cater to every palate. Whether you're a fan of a classic glazed donut or looking to be surprised by exotic flavors like matcha or tropical fruit fillings, PURVÉ has something for you.

Quality and Freshness The quality of the ingredients is palpable in each bite. The donuts are made fresh daily, and you can taste the craftsmanship that goes into them. The texture is a perfect balance between soft and dense, while the toppings and fillings burst with flavor, elevating the humble donut to a gastronomic experience.

Ambience and Aesthetics The shop itself is a feast for the eyes. Its fun and vibrant atmosphere, complete with modern decor and local art, provides the perfect backdrop for your donut escapade. It’s an Instagrammer’s paradise, with excellent lighting and plenty of aesthetically pleasing corners to showcase your delectable finds.

Exceptional Service The staff at PURVÉ Donut Stop are not just employees; they are ambassadors of joy. You're greeted with a smile, served with enthusiasm, and offered detailed explanations about the various flavors and ingredients should you want them. The service here adds an extra layer of happiness to an already joyful experience.

Overall Experience PURVÉ Donut Stop is a treasure trove for donut aficionados and casual fans alike. It manages to take a simple concept—making donuts—and elevates it to an art form, all while maintaining a down-to-earth, welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking to indulge your sweet tooth and brighten your day, a visit to this donut haven is an...

“How did you come up with the name Purve?” I asked. I was told there was no particular reason but if Purve derives from Purvey, which means to supply and provide...they’re definitely providing us with some scrumptious donuts!!!

Located on the second floor of the Iolani center. If headed makai bound on Piikoi, turn right onto Kona street. As soon as you pass the paid parking lot on your right, there’s a narrow ramp between the lot and the Iolani Center. Drive up the ramp and park. Free parking. It’s an open door center with various businesses. Purve will be on your left once you enter.

This is a “Happy” shop!! Big windows surrounding the eatery invite you in with all the whimsical and brightly painted walls to match their assorted array of donuts! Cheerful smiles and greetings from the staff await you. Everything in here is cleverly thought out...from the paintings, their unicorn shirts, to the funny donut names like “Unicorn Butt Sneeze” which is their most popular donut. I was given a plain donut sample to try. Omg! Perfectly crisp on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth moist on the inside!! Wow! All their donuts are made fresh, meaning they don’t let the donuts sit for more than half an hour to make sure customers receive the freshest possible donuts! Now that’s diligence. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they use Kai Coffee!! I had their House brewed coffee which was smooth and no hint of bitterness...Yay! One of the special donuts of the day was the Haupia with macadamia nut bits...so delishhh! The chocolate glazed donut with coffee grounds was also perfect with my coffee. I’d definitely recommend trying this...

I’m going to try to be fair about this review. Initially I was going to give Purve 3/5 stars but I realized there were a bunch of pros and they did outweigh the cons. I was really looking forward to coming since my friend has been raving about this place for a while now.

Pros: Light, airy, not too sweet, interesting choice of toppings, made fresh to order, friendly and upbeat staff, the more donuts you buy the cheaper they get

Cons: Price (I realize this is Hawaii and Purve is a small business but I did feel taken advantage of with their pricing), donuts slightly smaller than you’ll get at Dunkin’ or Krispy Kreme, topping choices didn’t appeal to me (there is no chocolate/peanut butter options and some flavors felt a bit forced), the donut was slightly warm but not hot

Takeaway: I ordered an apple pie filled donut “the jimbo” at the urging of my friend and an “uptuck” which is a plain donut with egg and bacon. The Jimbo was underwhelming. While it was unique, it wasn’t my style. The Uptuck kept falling apart but the taste was decent. The taste of the plain donut was good.

If you’re looking for a very unique donut place that isn’t too sweet (at least the donut I had), and don’t mind paying an arm and leg, then you’ll enjoy this place. Personally, I enjoy simple and plain food items so don’t anticipate returning unless they create a chocolate/peanut butter option. However, I’m glad I...

This place was the best experience ever!! We love it and will definitely be back!!! This place is really clean and cute! You can watch the staff make fresh donuts right in front of you! They are extremely sweet, friendly and helpful, gave great recommendations, and answered all my questions! We had a nice conversation and they even surprised me with a beautiful extra donut with a candle to congratulate me on my pregnancy!! There are so many different flavors of donuts with unique names and they've got some pretty cool unicorn products as well!! Don't forget to ask them what the weekly donut is! We had Sunburnt Haole, The "Jimbo", The Weekly donut ( lavender sea salt), Hulk Smash and a special strawberry Oreo one:) The donuts were so moist and fluffy, flavorful but not overly sweet!! We loved every bite so much!! The parking part is a little bit interesting, there was some parking right outside the store. There is a QR code sign to ask you pay beforehand and a guy was walking around to take pictures of people's license plates to make sure they paid before they left but when we asked him how we should pay and told him that we are going to get some donuts, he told us that if we come back real quick we don't have to pay Anyways, We had a great time there overall and would definitely go back again!!

I came in here early one morning for a craving of donuts. I was happily surprised with their creative selection of flavors and the cute decor. I didn't quite know what it meant to be made fresh to order as I've only seen donuts pre-prepared (oven style) but these cake donuts are the hot oil kind. With the toppings placed on them while they're still warm from the cooking. I got to eat my fresh af donut while the sun rose and I think I fell in love because the very next day I came to order all of them with an iced tea (I recommend mixing the two flavors together) and I can now die happy. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, really put the "cream cheese climax" (reference 'O Face' donut) on the experience here. Each employee who asked me if I was "finding everything alright" at the Ala Moana center was in awe of the craftsmanship of these donuts, I informed them of the short walk it was to get to the shop from the mall located in the "Made In Hawaii" street art building while also dying of laughter from the clever names and descriptions of the little dessert treats. Definitely a must on my list of go-to spots in Honolulu. Thanks Purvé!

Donuts are made to order, which is pretty awesome. Nothing is just sitting around waiting to be bought. All donuts are nice and warm. It's fun because they have sample donuts for you to look at, and laminated ordering sheets, just mark the number of the donuts you want, pay, and wait. After they hand deliver it to you in these super cute white boxes. The donuts themselves are given to you warm and the frosting is pretty and super fancy. They're soft, moist, and the exterior is crunchy, and then the frosting super flavorful. Every single donut is really good, but the donuts themselves are super soft and super easy to eat. Though because of coronavirus they only allow 5 people in the store at a time, so you stand outside in a line under shade. Beautiful and tasty donuts, if you love something different than just a glaze, or chocolate, or a filled donut, come here and try their exotic flavors.
