Teapresso Bar Piikoi — Restaurant in Honolulu

Usually I come here to study and appreciate it because they close late. Especially on weekends since they’re advertised to close until midnight, although I haven’t stayed til closing before. I enjoy the two girls who usually work there, but the two guys who worked this Friday were clearly trying to close early and drive out customers. I went to the restroom and came back at 11:15pm and they had turned off the lights in the seating area. There was still another couple there…working in the dark. Mind you, they were considerate enough to keep the lights on for themselves in the kitchen. At 11:35 they came up to me and said they’re closed. I said that it states online that they close at midnight and he responded 11:30pm. I didn’t check the door, so I’m not sure. But even if you do close at 11:30pm (different from what is stated online), why would you be turning off the lights at 11:15, which is before closing? The entire reason I come and pay for a drink/tip is so I can sit down and do work late at night. It’s especially rude to turn off the lights while customers are working there...

I appreciate the fact that the store opens til late (11 pm) when we were having late night cravings. If you order simple milk tea bobas, you won't be disappointed but if you get something on the fancier/complicated side it will just be fine but nothing to scream about. Expect to spend about $7 for a drink which is pretty typical for boba establishments across the island. I ordered the Earl grey milk tea and it was great, but the ube latte was just fine.

Other Teapresso places are really good like the one across Walmart, but this one sucked. First of all, I came here with 3 of my friends and in all of our drinks there was like no boba and way too much ice. My friend ordered a matcha and KitKat drink and there was no boba or KitKat and it was so hard to drink, way too thick. My friend ordered coconut milk tea and there was so much ice and barely any boba. The worst one, mine. I ordered a Thai tea drink with boba and it was so dark and had no flavor in it.
