First of all, I DID go in knowing the haircut I wanted at a fade/buzzcut based shop was risky, but my hopes were high. My previous regular guy is no longer at a location near me so I wanted to try someone new and the shop is walking distance from home. I'd been growing my hair out about six months and decided I wanted something a little cooler while keeping length in the back. I asked for a modern mullet fade type of cut longer in the back and had a photo for some reference. The fade is perfect and the final cut is decent, however, once I got home and was able to look closer I had to correct the cut myself as there were random pieces that looked strange sticking out. The main disappointment was that no length was left in the back at all despite several conversations about it. I really have no mullet. The stylist was really friendly and great, but had to ask for help from others several times and I stayed patient, but probably should have realized they weren't the right stylist for the cut. It is probably mostly a situation were they should have just told me they weren't really comfortable with it and recommended another barber or shop. In the end the cut is wearable after fixing it myself at home and I didn't have to just buzz it off, so it wasn't horrible. I intentionally waited a few days to review because initially I hated it and regretted cutting my hair at all, but it was ultimately salvageable.
