Kind of disappointed as this is a new restaurant you would think they would want to leave a lasting first impression. We went there for a late lunch remembering the advertisement they received on the news about its opening. We got to the restaurant about 1:30pm and was told they were out of rare steak. How do you continue to dinner service without a main pho ingredient like that ? Then, it got worse. We ordered a Coke . Sorry no Coke we are out. Just Diet Coke or sprite. If you are a Coke drinker you do NOT drink Diet Coke. Settled for the sprite. We ordered two bowls of pho, one brisket pho which we don’t normally order and I just had noodles no protein since they were out of raw steak, a pork Bahn mi sandwich and we wanted to try the appetizer chicken wings. Our pho came out first. Then our other items trickled out one at a time including the drinks. By the time our appetizers came out we were done with our pho. While eating, the kitchen was smoking out with bbq smell into the dining area, burning my eyes. We left the restaurant smelling like we attended an indoor bbq. To top it al off, about 6 workers came from the back and started to have lunch in the dining area where customers like myself were still waiting for food. It was the worst pho experience I’ve had. Noodles were overcooked, the staff although very pleasant were preoccupied either preparing their own lunch, or waiting on tables that seemed to be relatives or people they knew. Mind you, at the time of day it was pretty slow only 5 or 6 tables of diners. I can’t imagine how this place will operate on a busy weekend at dinner time when it’s raining and you’re craving a good bowl of pho. For the price, servings were small and taste was just ok. We wanted to give this place a try but I think we’ll just stick to our normal...
Read morewas gonna give 4 stars but decided on 5 because they have a promo going right now for 50% off many items. i think thru rest of april. so the monster dino rib n lobster pho that is all the rage is 50% off of its regular $60. its really big enuff for 2 people so not a bad deal even at regular prices. i also tried the bahn mi, was solid. everything tasted good, not extraordinary but good enough to satisfy your viet cravings. the owner also runs a local food truck, this is his latest expansion. also, regarding the 1 star review below, i hate when people put up ratings recklessly, it doesn’t even mention the food and its so fishy as to what really happened. its too easy for some troll to attack a joint needlessly for some personal vendetta. this is another reason i put up a 5 star, to negate the effects of a one star below, it kills the average rating. and google maps is not yelp, where a business can pay yelp to take down a negative rating… yelp is so shady and many restaurants owners hate them, just fyi. so bottom line is that this place is a solid option in the...
Read moreWe have been to this restaurant several times since opening and this will be our last visit. Something has REALLY changed besides the menu. This visit we had wagyu beef pho and seafood pho. Neither broth had any depth of flavor. The bed was just strips of VERY fatty brisket. Could not be eaten and besides the spouts and herbs that are bright out - there was nothing else in the pho. It was $39. The seafood pho was $25 i believe. No depth of flavor - a couple of rubber shaped shrimp and fish balls. Oh wait - there were 3 of time tiniest octopus bobbing in my soup too. But a rubber band would have more flavor
No alcohol - and with tip it was $79. What a joke. We will absolutely not return.
If you want delicious pho - go to Pho Vietnam in Chinatown No photos - but you can imagine what a bowl of broth looks like
The best thing about this restaurant is that the chairs are...
