In the past I would have given 4 or 5 stars but my last visit that happened 2 weeks ago was very disappointing to say the least. I was reluctant to share my experience but I think if you are a customer you should receive what you are paying for not by what they sell you. I got one of the 2 strawberry short cake in the display case for our evening desert for $38.74. I should have gone someplace else. At home after opening the box I notice that the strawberries didnât seem to be as fresh but I brush that aside because of the glaze. Upon slicing it, it didnât seem as fluffy, and with a strong fridge taste. I thought about stopping by to complain but I figured if the gentleman who helped me at the counter didn't greeted me and kept with a stone face the entire time, what difference would it make? I just hope this post helps, if you are buying there, make sure you custom...
Read moreMy Wife & I just moved across the street to the Chateau Waikiki and we had to visit this beautiful bakery that everyone kept raving about. It did not disappoint, we bought an assortment of their tarts (my favorite was the chocolate and strawberry) and brought them over to a friends house for dinner. It was a huge hit and the tarts were delicious! Recently I went back for a cup of Cafe au lait which was also delicious. I am giving them 5 stars for the quality of their treats and coffee, you can really tell the difference from a regular bakery. I think this will be a regular spot for me. I do wish they had a little more seating and maybe some complimentary wifi. It's in such a nice location I'd love to just sit and hang out someday and snack on their...
Read moreI started working at Kuku Kulu on September 29, 2018 I was promised baking and pastry experience as to gain knowledge when I was first hired at the store. The employees will not train you on this job is a great fix if you are a person that was willing to follow directions and not have out going personality. I left the job on March 21, 2019 my time was wasted far as training and experience. They rather teach another coworker instead of me and I was not going to stay there for another six months to be properly trained on my job. When you work there if you want to try the pastries you have to pay for it. Managers need more experience as far as training coworkers and taking their concerns seriously instead of laughing in the face and smiling...
