The good part is we booked a room with a balcony and that was nice to have, as the view was good and it was basically the only positive of this place. If you literally just need a room to sleep- we still recommend looking elsewhere. Location is decent if you don’t mind walking 30 minutes or more, or having to drive, for the beach and everything worth visiting.
The bad- really everything else. Tourist trap and they know it. Very cramped parking and rooms. Not even a hot tub at the pool, amazingly. Very Dirty property. Literally 1 ice machine in the hotel…sounds like a joke, but no. Front desk will NOT answer if you call- they actually have the phones set to ensure you CANNOT CALL front desk and only get a busy signal. You’ll have to use your mobile device to actually reach the hotel. That says a lot right there- and it doesn’t say anything good.
The Hotel and accommodations are very dated, which could be expected at this price tier… but you still expect to feel welcome when you stay at a hotel. You won’t feel welcome here.
Loud guests and crying babies are the norm- and staff won’t do anything to make things right if that disturbs your stay. Well, actually they will be condescending to you, but they certainly won’t do things to improve your stay. Rude parking attendants will make you feel uncomfortable and may not believe you could be a guest, even with proof of paid parking, just like happened to us, and the front desk clerks will be dismissive (especially the guys at night) if you have the misfortune of meeting them or you need anything.
Particularly in a destination like Honolulu- you expect a lot more from a hotel than this place cares to deliver. Sadly, here…They never were welcoming- and the front desk clerks who glare and never greet you every time you enter are a terrible look that make you chillingly question how you got bamboozled into giving them money. Also the staff shows no care for guests or the guest experience, and they were all incredibly rude and careless. This hotel doesn’t care if you have a good stay or not- at all!
If you have requests, even simple things, they’ll tell you “no” or won’t follow through. If you have an issue, they don’t give an ounce of effort. Just embarrassing for the Ramada brand & frankly the “leadership” at this property starting with GM down absolutely should be entirely replaced immediately. The staff are very rude and dismissive to guests- and they have no professionalism. Incredibly sad.
Regularly traveling the world, I’ve never seen a hotel show worse “hospitality,” and it’s as though this hotel doesn’t know or care they’re supposed to be in the “hospitality industry.” From the GM Amy Tang down, it’s just a very poorly managed hotel that makes Wyndham, Ramada, and Hawaii look very bad. Was supposed to be a memorable trip to Hawaii, and this hotel will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Lots of better options nearby for similar pricing. Hopefully this hotel shuts down and gets revamped by a company that will care to run it properly.
Go to a Hilton or spend your money anywhere else and you’ll be happier than staying here. They don’t appreciate or deserve any business, and they definitely don’t deserve any of your hard earned money. A total disappointment of a property- mostly due to the incredibly unprofessional and rude staff. We still had a great vacation, zero thanks to this pathetic...

The location is perfect for walking visits to Waikiki beach as well as shopping area, the entire neighborhood is extremely secure at all times. The rooms are nice and clean, however very thin walls where you can hear all happenings in room next to you. Staff and service is an iced bag with two extremes from being very good to very rude. They don’t have basic amenities and those they have are very substandard. Overall in terms of value for money, this place is almost half the price of similar standard hotels located close by. Below is the detailed review.||Location: The location is perfect for a trip to Waikiki. The beach is at a 5 minute walk from the hotel, the shopping centers and main restaurants are at 10 minute walk. There are several restaurants and a large ABC store right next to the hotel. It’s overall in a calm and peaceful area. The area is extremely secure and safe to walk around at all times. ||Rooms: The rooms are very nice, clean, spacious, and well furnished. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The TV is quite old, there is a work desk and chair, and a single seat sofa. The room has a Fridge, Microwave oven, and a safe. Iron and ironing board are provided while closet is an open one. Room Lighting is old school and is controlled by three lamps in the room each to be powered on and off individually which is not convenient. Ample power outlet spots available in the room. The walls are extremely thin and no privacy from your neighbors. ||Bathroom: The bathroom fixtures are in decent condition and work well. The shower 🚿 water pressure in the 8th Floor was extremely low. The amenities are fixed in the shower as well as at wash basin which are good. However for additional amenities they do not have bathroom slippers, and tooth brush and razors were the worst found at hotels of this price range. ||Staff: The staff members that checked us in were super friendly, kind, and helpful. The staff at checkout was exact opposite. Other staff members during the stay felt as if someone had forced them to work and not pleasant at all. The security guard at checkout saw me check out, and then immediately asked me if I was a guest at the hotel for wanting to use the lobby restroom or parking my car in the short stay parking while my car still had the parking sticker on.||Parking: They have a decent sized open air/uncovered parking lot, but definitely not bug enough to cover the hotel guests. The hotel charges a flat $30 Fee and accommodates you in other close by garages. Found parking at the hotel’s lot every time during my stay. It’s actually convenient to have the car parked here and either walk or take ride share, given the scarce and extremely expensive parking in downtown Waikiki. ||Other Facilities: The hotel has a smaller swimming pool, a Gym, and Laundry facility. All located on the second floor and accessible with a valid room key only. There is a free business center with facility to print your tickets etc for free. There are a total of two (2) elevators which are clean, roomy and fast. There is a nice smaller lobby area at the check in desk. The restrooms in lobby are locked and need a room...
