I had the absolute pleasure of receiving a two-hour massage from Melanie, the owner of Red Earth Spa in Waikiki—and it was, hands down, one of the best massage experiences I’ve had.

From the moment I walked in, Melanie made me feel welcome and completely at ease. The space is peaceful, clean, and beautifully curated to create a true oasis in the heart of Waikiki. But what truly set this apart was Melanie’s skill and intuition.

She blended deep tissue and sports massage techniques with just the right amount of pressure—firm where I needed it, gentle where I didn’t know I needed it. Every knot, ache, and area of tension was treated with care and expertise. She even worked in an incredible scalp massage that left me completely relaxed and recharged.

Melanie is the kind of practitioner who is clearly doing what she was meant to do. Her presence is calming, her technique is masterful, and her attention to detail is impeccable. You can tell she truly cares about her clients’ well-being and takes great pride in her work.

I booked a couples massage on 9/20. It was relaxing. You get a custom massage for the amount of time you booked. I came around 10:15 am to see if there was an intake form to fill out and to use the restroom. There wasn't a form and the bathroom is accessed via key. I was seen at 10:30 am on the dot and the massage finished at 11:35 am. My partner and I undressed quickly so that it wouldn't eat into our time but it looks like the timer starts when the message starts.

Everything is set to your pace and needs. I felt super comfortable and my partner said he would return again. There is a sheet on you. They will massage you over the sheet and then only expose the parts that they will work on. I wasn't freezing and it was quiet the entire time which is preferred. There was relaxing music playing and the scents weren't overpowering. The massage oil smells like coconut and the scalp massage smelled like peppermint. Everyone spoke slowly which I liked. I have a difficult time hearing so speaking slowly is helpful.

I discovered this place a year ago January. Tessa does a total 90 minute massage that is phenomenal. It consists of various types of message including using her feet which is what attracted me. I have had 2 other people go to her and they agreed. It the best message they have ever had. One person is considering coming back for a short visit before he returns next winter. His quote was he hasn't felt that good for years because of his work he doesn't want to go back to hurting. I almost don't want to give this review so she doesn't get to busy....
