Paula at Modern Aesthetics Hawaii is amazing! I highly recommend booking an appointment if you have any skin goals and want to treat yourself to the most luxurious experience! Every detail is designed to create a relaxing and rejuvenating atmosphere that will put you into a state of bliss. It begins once you walk into the waiting room. Think Mid Century Modern meets Contemporary Boho Chic. You are then taken into the treatment room and given the most soft and cozy wrap and the air smells like a field of roses. The bed is always at the right warmed temperature and the sheets are like the softest hotel sheets. I have specific skin goals and Paula never disappoints. Before I started seeing Paula, I had a lot of dark pigmentation and leathery looking skin (products of the 80’ & 90’s where tanning was cool and no one wore sunscreen). After seeing her regularly I my skin looks amazing, and she had developed a realistic skin regime for me to follow. I often time don’t wear foundation and still feel confident.

My treatments are slightly different every time as she will customize each session depending on what is going on with my skin. There is always a high level of hydration and brightening included. Also during the treatment Paula will give you the most exquisite shoulder and back massage. Again, Paula pays attention to the little details and will always wipe off any excess lotion so you never leave feeling oily. I was trying many different facial places then my friend introduced me to Paula a couple years ago and I’ve been going to her ever since!

Paula is very friendly and makes great recommendations - each facial is customized to our skin’s needs (I personally have dry skin that can get a little dull) so Paula customizes the facial to target my concerns. She begins by cleaning and prepping to derma-planing, extractions, applying the products, choosing which lights best benefit you that you lie under while the products absorb. She even adds in a short scalp and shoulder massage during that time too and to top it off, we do a light peel and my skin is ready to go again!

I highly recommend her facials to anyone who’s looking to take care of their skin. She’s knowledgeable and dedicated to her craft.

real talk. #truestory i am a frequent visitor to the corner of Acne and Scarring. this year i struggled to avoid this corner. but thanks to the skills of Paula, IG @modernaestheticshawaii, and being blessed with time to work on giving more love to my face, we are forgetting that address. hoping for no more covid shutdowns.

Her new space is clean, gorgeous, good space, and calming. Her covid checkin process is explained well and not overwhelming. I trust her experience and give her full control of picking the treatment my face needs. She explains what she is doing, and answers my questions.
