I'm not one to leave bad reviews, however Ive got to say guys the service here is very poor. Visiting from Australia where we aren't exactly known for great customer service, but this was something else.
Been in the store twice, both times looking for a specific putter. First time I went in, found the one I was after but had a couple questions for a sales rep. Spoke to one, said they were busy (fair enough, but didn't even offer to find someone else for me?). Second person was so unhelpful I wish I didn't even ask and had a real attitude? I'm trying to spend money and your giving me attitude? Crazy!
Second visit, no one asks me if I needed help while there are 4 people standing at the front of the store (again I'm trying to buy a $400 putter...). I ask one of the floor staff about the said putter and said it wasn't for sale, fair enough but I was not even told how to purchase a new one, Im not kidding the guy just said there are used putters for sale over there....and that was the end of the conversation. I'm wearing a t shirt and shorts and I guess I don't look like I've got money? But me and every other cashed up bogan from Australia dress like this so not a great idea to stereotype.
Anyway, I just couldn't believe it and walked out, spend your money elsewhere there is much better service from smaller golf shops in Honolulu just do some research.
Sorry guys but you need to improve, especially since it appears this isn't your first poor review regarding customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI traveled holiday here to Honolulu for a vacation with my family and searching for a new set of golf clubs. I looked at the recommendations online and it appeared Roger Dunn was one of the biggest stores in the area. What I experienced was that size and availability of product doesn't always equate to a great shopping experience. During my visit to Roger Dunn no sales person offered to help with selecting clubs to match my skill level nor did they ask any questions to see what I was interested in. Even though the store was quite empty the sales staff seemed more interested in goofing off on their own than helping. Also, something I also noticed was their pricing seemed high, especially for used/demo club sets. When comparing to online club sets I noticed some of their used sets where higher than new sets online.
After being totally ignored for about an hour I moved on to ProAm Golf Shop nearby. Even though they were a smaller store they were attentive to my every need from the moment I walked in the front door. From questioning my skill level, to allowing me to sample many demo clubs and fitting I felt comfortable purchasing the perfect set to match my level of play. I walked out the door with a full bag of Callaway, Taylormade and Ping clubs that I'm confident will give me years...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is amazing to test new or even older equipment. I normally spend a good chunk of change on golf equipment annually. This past year almost 7k worth of equipment. They have a bonus program for rewards, while trying to purchase more equipment I find out my rewards account is not current so my 6k purchase 2 weeks earlier did not get the rewards applied when I was told otherwise. The sales associates there are always saying "excuse me" when I ask for my discount and look at me with bewilderment as if I'm robbing a bank for asking for what they advertise or offer corporate discounts on equipment. This shop needs better customer service or they will find that soon through the power of social media, my extensive family connections and also my golfing circles they will not be doing the revenue...
