On one of the days of our trip my granddaughter and I took a walk down Kalakaua Avenue browsing in all the shops and we came along to the Nakoa jewelry Store. Of course, we had to go in and we are really glad we did. This jewelry shop was the greatest place to shop. The people were extremely nice, especially Maggie. Maggie was there to help us, explaining all kinds of things when we had questions and was very patient with us. We ended up at the koa wood jewelry counter, which was the main reason we went in. I had seen the advertisement on the outside of the shop and I was very curious. I am so glad that we had the opportunity to experience what lovely pieces they had. Of course, we did not walk out of that shop empty handed and had to go back because we forgot to purchase for someone... you see, we were getting gifts for our family back in Colorado. I want to start out by saying the jewelers that work here were fantastic! My wife and I were looking for a specific wedding band for myself. White gold with Hona's (turtles) all the way around the band. No one had such a ring anywhere. They told me that they could make me one with in a few days and offered to engrave our names and anniversary on the inside and even ship it to Arizona since we were leaving the next day. TRUE to his word he made the ring. Text me pictures of it for my approval. And I also purchased a beautiful black men's bracelet with abalone and Koa wood inserts. My nephew purchased the same one but in silver. After all was approved we received the purchased items within 3 days via FedEx. I will definitely purchase any future jewelry through them. Highly trustworthy store that keep good on their promises. I purchased a lovely tantalum wedding ring for my husband from this store for our elopement. We were a bit hesitant on sizing as his finger a bit tricky to size. They advised if we return home after our honeymoon and find it is the wrong size they would exchange provided the ring was undamaged. Well returning to Australia we did find the ring too big. Nakoa held true to their word and we could send back the ring and they sent back the size requested. Being outside US we did need to pay shipping costs both ways which is understandable.
