They have some good findings sometimes but the employees can be VERY rude if you’re trying to sell. I’ve seem some bad items on their shelves like shirts with holes and shein (which is normal! it’s a thrift store!), but if the employee doesn’t like you they will not buy anything from you and be rude saying “I can see some wear on it” well.. this is a thrift store, right? The first time I tried selling they said they would not take shein but I saw shein on their shelves MANY times. This second time I had a bad interaction with the employee again and even though I brought a brand new Zara dress and a never worn forever 21 shirt on summer season (among many other items), they didn’t buy anything. I know that it’s a more selective thrift store and I value it, I would not try bringing the same quality of clothing I would to savers and I know I had good items, so it just doesn’t make sense. Plus is not only the not buying it is the snob tone when dismissing your items. I’m usually not that specific but that’s the second time I try to sell here and they are rude to me, even tho I have been buying here for a while and have seen some poor quality...
Read moreI saw another comment with the same issue as me. Staff were very rude. They had token my bag bc I was trying on clothes and when I was ready to pay they still had my bag so I asked if I could have my bag. In response she said very aggressively “just grab your bag” with a really rude jester and tone. I was confused because the bags were behind the desk and normally staff is only allowed there. So I apologized asking her to repeat herself. She got more and more aggressive towards me bc I had kept asking and I even told her I couldn’t understand. She had an extremely rude demeanor the whole time. I started going behind the counter to grab my bag bc she said “just grab ur bag” and she started yelling at me saying no no no and she finally had a clear pronunciation and said “describe ur bag”. I apologized bc I mixed up “just grab ur bag” with “describe ur bag” and she just gave me a mean look. Overall that ruined my day and the experience was really upsetting. Also I take the bus everyday and when I got to Plato’s closet it closed an hour early so that not only wasted my money but...
Read moreI came to sell here one day, & I brought in a bag full of lightly worn, name brand clothes. Such as Adidas, Nike, Free people, Top shop etc. The lady who was buying was old, like in her 50s, she only bought 3 items & gave me $35 for it. About two weeks later I went back & try to sell the same bag of clothes & some more, they ended up buying everything except for 2 items. They took a total of 17 items, & at first only offered me $33. Now that was crazy to me, because I had just got almost the same amount for not even half of what I was selling. I refused to sell to them. I could tell the woman was annoyed so then she offered me more money. $10 more. I still refused, so I took my items & left. So if you're gonna sell here make sure to bring very little in at a time, cause apparently they give you more money for smaller amount of items. Only good thing is you can hold items on their insta, but even that...
