THE BEST ROAST PORK EVER! Mind blown! I was eating it like bacon while driving to work! You have to, have to eat it fresh to really appreciate it! The skin was so crispy. Most of the fat was rendered out, and there was A LOT of meat! Most of it was meat actually! The salt was just right, small kine so you are OK just eating the meat (ate 6 slices in a row before I was like "oh ok calm down") or to eat with rice. Note: I ordered this about 15 min after they opened, so it was f-f-fresshhh.
I ordered party platters for a work potluck. The process was easy and the service was great. 30 gau gee for $20 is the best deal around. Also ordered Chinese Chicken salad and it was simple but good. They didn't fluff the lettuce after cutting it so that there was more lettuce to fill the bin.
What I really appreciated is that the owner? youngish guy was telling me they cut slashes in the foil to let the heat out so the gau gee doesn't sog. When I was going to stack the gau gee on the salad, he said no don't crush it! When he gave me the roast pork, he said don't close the bag handles together because the steam will soften the skin. I chortled - he really wants you to eat the food as it's intended.
This little spot is located in bottom floor of the safeway complex. I'm looking forward to trying...
Read moreIt was disturbing to have pure red blood leaking out from the bones of the chicken parts. I called to make a complaint and the employee said, it was okay to eat it, because the chicken meat are cook that the bloods are just coming out from the bones, it is okay to eat them. Now, can you imagine in there kitchen there have cross contamination expose heavily on other meats and veggie on the cutting board or the area they use to prep. I will never go to asian mix or any restaurant that serves cold ginger chicken ever. This will be mandatory to have the state board of health to investigate these restaurants. I will make a claim as soon as Monday. Beware of asian mix restaurant on beretania st. Beside Safeway market. There food will...
Read morePhone in order, apparently they use the phone number as identification because that’s what I use to pick up my order. Ordered Won Ton Noodle Soup, Ginger Sauce Chicken, and Salt and Pepper Prawns. The soup was delicious so was the Ginger Chicken. A few prawns were a little on the soft side (maybe previously frozen?) otherwise good…note: I like the crunchiness of the shells so I don’t bother to remove the shells. They have so much to choose from, I’d like to try. Definitely recommend.
Second order shown…Singapore Noodles comes with bbq pork and shrimp but we asked for beef instead, very accommodating. Prawns were very good and tasty. Love the Young Chow Fried Rice.
They only do takeaway....
