Geez... I truly can't think of right words to express how impressed and grateful I was to this massage and spa. I went there for my fiancée birthday as a couples massage. Right as we entered the room it was set up as if we walked onto the set of a romantic movie... rose pedals everywhere, the acronym H.B.D. on one the beds as the room was inundated with soft glowing candle light from wall to wall. My girls jaw dropped, (but not as much as mine) haha. I played it off like I set this all up and I knew all along haha. The massage was fantastic, but they do an amazing job of properly blending in stretch, deep tissue and calming massage. I would say as a guy, definitely wear some underwear, the stretches can be rather exposing. The stretching is what really won me over though... it's unique to the industry and deeply needed for the reasoning of wanting to feel limber and more relaxed. So, just when I didn't think the experience could get in better as we walk out of the room... Bam!!! Staff singing us happy birthday and two small scoops of rich vanilla ice cream in some elegant boutique style bowls with a candle and a happy birthday sign on the wall... I'm like.. Wow! Yall are about to get the best tip I've ever given a massage therapist... like EVER! My girl gave me all the credit and I truly have the staff for taking the initiative to do what is necessary to set themselves apart from other massage and spa locations... it's the experience the personal touch to thing. I felt like I was legitimately with family friends. I know for a fact im leaving out numerous details that display the staffs thoughtfullness and professionalism. They deserve so much credit!!! Words don't do this place justice. I've set the standard 100% for me. Haha I'll never be able to top this now... that's the only down side is this place can't be beat. So it's either Siam massage or nothing. I actually took their continuous customer rewards card because I know imma be coming back soon. I hope the staff reads this. I'm beyond...
Read moreResponse to the company's response and original review below: The company told me to delete my review as it is not their company because they merely rented space to the company "I reviewed below." However, all paperwork signed has the siam aesthetics company logo on it. And regardless of whether they rented space to this alleged company or not, the renters are in their space and siam is still everywhere throughout the office--in the lobby, in the private rooms, hallway, etc. You offered space to them and people will associate them with you. Don't try to cut ties now that they aren't offering a good experience. Original review: This was not the relaxing spa treatment I anticipated. The special price might lure people into the office for one visit, but I do not plan to return. Once there, the aesthetician does the facials, but then brings in a "closer" to try to sell you products and machines after your treatment. This is where they likely make their money. Plus, the special deal might seem like an offer you can't refuse, but it's similar to cheap airlines where everything is an add on. Oh you want to bring your purse on the flight? That's an extra $40. You want a soda on the flight? That's $10. The price advertised includes them washing your face and a couple of small things. But if you want anything legitimate, it's an extra add on they will upsell you once you are there. At the end of the facial, they try to sell you their line of products and any blue/red light or vibrating face equipment used during your facial. The experience reminded me of the kiosks in the mall who are giving out free facial product samples and selling a line of facial products no one has ever heard of. Except now, those kiosk companies have found a way to make customers come to them. The ladies who were there were polite, friendly, and professional. They did not treat me unkindly for not purchasing any products. So far, I haven't noticed any changes in my skin following the facial, but I will update if...
Read moreI recently booked a Lomi Lomi massage with Siam Thai, my massage therapist is Eva. but unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. I’ve had Lomi Lomi massages multiple times before, so I’m familiar with the style. However, within the first five minutes, Eva began stretching and bending my thigh without allowing my muscles to relax, which felt rushed and even risky for injury. Concerned, I asked if this was a Lomi Lomi or Thai massage, to which she responded, “Ok, you want Lomi, I give you,” but proceeded with more of a deep tissue (pressure point) approach rather than Lomi Lomi.
I had also added a scalp and foot massage, but at times, she was only using one hand (she needs to change her video on her phone) , and I can hear her video playing from her headphone loudly, which disturbs my session. If we’re paying for professional services, I don’t think using a phone during a session is appropriate or respectful.
My first experience at Siam Thai Massage was with Nochan, and it was amazing—she was professional, skilled, and used great pressure and technique. In comparison, this recent session left me feeling disappointed. I had hoped to relax and maybe even take a nap, but the entire experience was frustrating.
I usually tip generously (20% and above) when the service is good and meets professional standards, I tipped Nochan 28% last time, but this time, I only tipped 15% because of my dissatisfaction. Eva seemed upset and stormed out afterward, which felt unprofessional.
I hope this review reaches Eva and management, as professionalism and correct techniques are essential to maintaining customer satisfaction. A single bad experience can significantly impact the business, and I believe better training or filtering of therapists would help prevent this in the future.
I would still come back for...
