5 stars all the way!! We had no real definite destination in mind. We wanted to see the Island. Seamus picked us up and we talked a bit about areas we wanted to see. He more than delivered with stops along the North Shore, great beaches, local stand out markets and artisans. Lunch at a "good" shrimp truck. He was hoping for and found us a Monk Seal that was napping on a beach. Seamus crafted the day to fit us and was more than willing to ad lib as our day unfolded. Strong recommendation for a fantastic personal tour with a knowledgeable host.

I communicated with Shamus several times prior to my arrival just trying to get an idea of sites to see since this was our first trip to Hawaii.He was extremely professional and polite and provided his expertise on ideas. On the morning of the Circle Island Tour we were picked up by Amelia. She was awesome n provided an amazing tour. We didn’t feel rushed and was provided plenty of opportunity to take pictures. We definitely plan to return to Hawaii and Take a hike Oahu tours will be first on my list to call.

Had a wonderful time hiking with Take a Hike Oahu. I chose to get a professional guide to get to the top of The Stairs to Heaven. The legal way up on the backside of the mountain. The hike was tough, muddy and the heights was staggering. My guide Seamus, made me feel very safe on the trail. Giving me good advices how to tackle the hurdles on the path. I couldn't have done it on my own. I truly recommend Take a Hike Oahu! As a bonus - it was very cool to be picked up in their yellow jeep.

We booked the North Shore / Waimea, Falls Day & Swim Swim with Turtles trip.

Our tour guide (Seamus) and tour guide pet companion (Sandy) were AMAZING!

First, we didn't get to experience the Waimea Falls or swim with the turtles because it rained so much the night before AND of course for the safety of all (mother nature, staff and guests) they had to close access to that area. It was a bummer BUT Seamus and Sandy truly made our day such a BLAST!

We could tell that Seamus truly loves his career. We learned and saw so much about the history, culture and people of Hawaii! We look forward to when we can return to Hawaii and book another trip with Seamus and Sandy!!!!!

If you are looking for a guide who loves Hawaii and life to bring you into a more personal feel and experience into the best of North Shore, Seamus (and Sandy!) of Take A Hike Oahu is the way to go when exploring the island. I am thrilled we went with a more custom and personalized tour.

My teen son and I (+ Seamus & Sandy - although together, we also felt like we had a lot of our own private time too which was cool) spent a wonderful, unique and casually cool (we got to determine the pace) day together. The rich history of Waimea Valley was terrific, and swimming in the falls was a welcomed and exciting bonus. Diamond Head Crater and Lanikai bech tour was a very personalized trip, a very cool and clean jeep just picked us up at the exact address that we gave when we booked in. Seamus was a very kind and friendly tourguide, he explained and gave us valuable information about the diamond crater and lanikai beach sites. Good recommendations and an excellent service from his behalf. We really recommend this hiking tour and trip to the beach if you want to get to know more closely this island. great sightseeings.
