Ochos 888 — Restaurant in Honolulu

We have been to this restaurant at least four or five times since they opened. They are a wonderful addition to the Kapahulu & Kaimuki neighborhoods. Sam and Gina and their entire family and staff have really poured their heart and soul into making this a great local restaurant. The staff are all friendly and engaging. This place was an absolute surprise. My wife and I went not know what to except and BLOWN AWAY is an understatement. We felt as though we had been transported to another country like a high end restaurant in Mexico or Peru. The flavors were seriously freakishly insanely EPIC! Easily my new favorite restaurant. Went to check out this awesome new spot that opened up last week. Was greeted by a beautiful mural outside and a super friendly staff when we walked in. We sat at the bar and Zach and Sam took excellent care of us. We ordered the Acevichado and the Lomo Saltado. The fresh fish was delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. Good music playing and a very chill family style vibe. Super happy to have this place close to our house so we will definitely be back! Looking forward to trying more...
