The Ruddy Duck — Local services in Hood River

This is absolutely my favorite store! I always stop on my trip between the Tri-Cities and Vancouver. Best selection and variety of unique, beautiful clothing, jewelry, bags, shoes and so much more. There is a nice selection of men's things as well and don't forget to check out the sale area upstairs. The staff are always so helpful and are happy to bring different sizes. They actually check on you in the dressing room to see if you need anything which is so helpful so you don't have to get dressed just to go get other sizes. The owner of the store happened to be there one time and she displayed all of the clothing in the dressing room as she thought might look best, clearly she has lovingly chosen all of the pieces in this place and it's just a fun place to go. My experience in here is always pleasant. They sell top-notch quality clothing that have lasted for years!!! A shirt and pajamas that I bought 10 years ago for my son are the only pieces of clothing that I have been able to pass down to my daughter. That’s ten years of CONTINUAL use! The quality is outstanding!

I am a size 16 and this store carries beautiful lingerie that is so comfortable! It’s hard to find quality affordable lingerie anywhere, but this store has it! The owner travels the world and finds lovely pieces to feature in her store. *update * June 13, 2022… I recently went in to buy lingerie and they no longer sell plus sizes.

I LOVE this store. The very first time I went into this store I experienced a little bit of a snobby attitude from an employee (this was in 2010), so I didn't go back until 2016. What a mistake! Not a sliver of snobbiness since, and I'm a monthly customer. They have a constantly changing assortment of clothes, and something for everyone. They have grays, browns and black to bright, playful, and floral. I am not your typical lean, über-toned Gorge resident, and I consistently find clothes that suit me. Prices are higher than big-box stores, but the clothes I've bought here are good quality and have lasted well. NOTE: They do not refund money, they will offer you...
