Wow, I was curious about what the review said and I saw a bunch of bad ones and I’m surprised because it kind of mimicked my experience today. Today was my very very first time visiting this brandy Melville location ever. I walked in it was very small, very cramped. Not like most clothing stores that are 2 to 3 rooms deep. It was just one small room.
I was looking at the patches on the wall and I just kept walking and it’s like the walkway takes you directly to the back of the store, slightly to the left when you’re facing the back of the store.
I walked back looking at the patches and this girl rudely turns to her left, my right and points to the cash wrap and says “oh you can’t be back here is for workers only.” I’m like there’s literally no signage . There’s nothing. Everything is completely cramped and crammed in there in a messy clutter and furthermore, I wasn’t even in the corner by the cash register I was literally in other corner by the patches. When I asked where the patches are in whether or not, they were for sale, just for decoration She seemed like it was a complete inconvenience to show me the little bucket on the counter where the patches were stored.
When I looked through them and didn’t see a price on the tag and I asked her if she’s like there’s numbers on there. It should be next to US that is the price in the rudest voice. I just looked at them there’s no dollar signs there’s no digits after the decimal they literally look like they were sizes or color code. I checked out with a different lady. She also did not make eye contact and or even speak to me. I worked at Abercrombie as a floor model when I was in college and we were never this ugly to customers. At least at Abercrombie, the girls were attractive. If they are that unhappy on an average day, I hope they all quit or get fired before Black Friday and Christmas season because that’s gonna...
Read moreJust left from visiting this store for the first time & I didn’t feel welcomed at all. Walking around the employees treated me as if I was invisible. I even spoke to 2/3 that were there and they were really stand-off ish as if they didn’t want to talk to me & didn’t know how to talk to me. I guess they don’t get many POCs that come in and you have to be a certain color to be treated like an actual person in this store. I had common questions about the size of the clothes amongst others that I didn’t even bother asking after the girls I attempted to talk to didn’t even make eye contact with me. There was one with blonde hair that really solidified my discomfort as she didn’t even say excuse me when stocking the merchandise & just stood there with her head down suggesting I move out of her way. There was a Hispanic girl who checked me out who actually spoke to me that I thanked & let her know that she’d been the only one to speak to me or offer help since I had been in. I won’t be returning back to the store and wouldn’t recommend anyone of color to go into this store because they’re gonna act like you’re invisible. Such a shame bc I actually like the store. The vibe just gives that they don’t really want POCs there and I want to support businesses that make me feel welcomed. For the sake of this being about a business I’ll just say Customer Service 0. I don’t even expect for anyone to reach out to me in the event that they do see this review. Not even sure if I want to be because a “sorry for your experience, we value everyone” isn’t gonna suffice in this...
Read moreI have no problem with the organization. The customer service was terrible. When I first walked into the store I immediately felt judged by the workers for being there. All skinny blonde white girls. I am not trying to make this a racial issue but there was definitely a sense of inferiority. I was shopping with my friend, my mom, and my little nephew. My friend and I had Christian faith-biased sticky notes we were placing around stores we were shopping at. A couple of minutes into us being at the store we had placed about 5-6 notes and the workers started laughing at my friend and I ,saying things such as, "eww what are they doing?", "Ohhh they're talking about God!!" "Of course we are going to take them down!" huddled up in a corner laughing to themselves. I honestly don't have a problem with people taking those notes down, I had a problem with making fun of someone because of their beliefs. We immediately left and decided not to buy the clothes we had picked out. Once we left one of the girls working there walked out of the store to "make sure we didn't accidentally take anything". Obviously old enough to work at the store but not mature enough to know how to treat customers appropriately no matter the disagreement. They're policy might not even have allowed notes to be placed around the store but the way it was handled was disgusting. Absolutely outrageous and very hurtful. And if the workers see this… Hello! You are most definitely in my prayers! Jesus...
