I think whomever reads this should take heed before arriving, especially if you are BIPOC. This is just a fair warning that there are some employees there who are discriminatory and hesitant to serve a medium sized group of about 7 black women, including myself. Yesterday was my birthday and I decided to pop into sixty vines for a bite and to enjoy the company of my friends. I normally donât write reviews, but I feel compelled to doing so, because of my experience there. We arrived at 8:45pm and the restaurant closes at 10pm. We understood the circumstances we were in were tight, however, we did not anticipate being met with the hosts that quite literally did not want to serve or seat us. Last time I checked Jim Crow laws were abolished. At any rate, we saw a few empty tables on the first floor, let alone the second floor and the host claimed there were plenty of reservations and sheâd have to check what is even available and for the size of our group. We were very accommodating in that we didnât mind being split up to alleviate the stress of finding a larger table. In the time we waited, WE had to point out a 2 tables that were available right next to each other after she disclosed it would be an hour wait . She looked to where we pointed, looked back at her computer to type, then pausedâŚ..for a whileâŚ.and asked if we would be âokay with squishingâ. We agreed itâd be fine after she clearly displayed hesitation in seating us. The service thus forward was nothing spectacular. Waitress and other folks we encountered didnât particularly make the experience enjoyable either. So I figured after we pay for a meal, we speak with the manager. She apologized on behalf of the employee who ruined my birthday, although I wouldâve appreciated an apology from the host herself. Anyways, she gave us 3 plates of desserts on the house. And an 8oz per our request. She seemed to alleviate our feelings to minimum degree in compensation. I personally do not wish to return to an establishment that discriminates me and gives me a cookie to make me feel better. How about disciplinary action? How about following me up with me to recreate our experience to make up for my tarnished birthday dinner. At the end of the day, the service we experienced was incredibly rude and discriminatory. I wouldnât expect this restaurant to go above and beyond for BIPOC just based off of my experience on my birthday. At best, expect 3 plates of desserts and an 8oz to shut you up and get you to kick rocks as fast...
Read moreWe arrived at Sixty vines for dinner and it was very cool (temperature) downstairs but we requested a window seat so we were seated upstairs which was definitely warmer. I was very comfortable since I was in a dress but my boyfriend runs hot so he was a little uncomfortable but it wasnât like deal breaker hot. All depends on preference.
For an appetizer we order the truffled vineyard fries which was probably my favorite! They were hot and crispy and the layers were cooked to perfection.
For our main course I ordered the Creste Di Gallo which was good I ate my entire plate. My boyfriend ordered the Marinated Artichoke pizza and he enjoyed it. They make them in a brick oven thatâs near their kitchen area which is very cool to see.
For sides we ordered the Charred broccolini and Carrots. The broccolini has more flavor because of the bacon and charred mini onions so it made them very tasty!!
For dessert we ordered the Basque Cheesecake. I tend to like my cheesecake a little more dense but thatâs my preference.. every one has a different palette. Taste was good and the cherries on top were a nice touch of sweet/tartness. It was good!
Parking was timed but if you donât mind walking you can find a parking spot without having to pay to park. We parked right in front so it was very convenient to just pay the $6 for two hours.
During our dining experience it was very noisy so I did have to raise my voice a few times so my boyfriend could hear me. Itâs definitely a trendy and more relaxed vibe.
They were quite busy with tables coming and going. Our service was good. My only negative note is I donât particularly like it when finished plates sit on the table without getting taken away in a timely manner. I never do it but I stacked our plates so they could be taken away. But like I said it is more of a relaxed vibe so maybe itâs a take your time and we donât want to make you feel rushed type of service.
The establishment was clean. The kitchen looked clean. The bar had plenty of open seats. They also offer mocktails which is nice. By the time we were leaving it was getting dark and the outside just looks so cute with the lights. Overall everything was delicious! Good vibes and very cool trendy scene with a view of the shopping area down in rice village. If you wanted to go here to get a quick bite or have dinner.. thereâs also plenty of do in the...

Sixty Vines was a new experience for us, and overall, we were very impressed. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially since this is a high-traffic area with limited parking. Thereâs only paid parking available, and although there is some street parking, it fills up quicklyâplan ahead.
The restaurant itself is visually stunning and full of energy, offering a variety of seating options: â High tops â Bar seating (including a dedicated wine bar and a chefâs bar where you can watch the wood-fired pizzas being made) â Regular dining tables â An outdoor patio â Plus both upstairs and downstairs seating with second-story views if youâre lucky enough to sit by a window
The space has an industrial-chic design, which makes for great ambiance, but itâs also very loudânot ideal if youâre looking for a quiet dinner. Some of the chairs were also uncomfortable (mine had no padding and was quite worn down), but our server kindly brought a cushion, which made a big difference.
Service was excellent throughout. Our waitress was knowledgeable, patient, and eager to help us customize cocktails and navigate the menu.
The menu features a mix of American and French-inspired dishes, with a strong focus on wine pairings and seasonal ingredients. The pastas were outstanding, though I will say portion sizes run a bit small, so you may want to order additional dishes if youâre hungry.
Highly recommend the olive oil cake for dessertâmoist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
A few key takeaways: â Not kid-friendly (no childrenâs menu) â Better suited for adults, date nights, birthdays, or group celebrations â They do accommodate large parties, but reservations are a must
Final thoughts: Despite a few minor comfort and noise issues, Sixty Vines offers an elevated, fun dining experience thatâs ideal for wine lovers and those celebrating a special occasion. We would absolutely return for another date night or...
