Christmas Rocks — Local services in Houston

This will become one of my three stores to shop annually in Houston for Christmas decor. Despite living in Houston for years I've only just discovered in in a neighborhood home in Upper Kirby. The store has a large selection of many unique items including Old World Christmas and Kurt S Adler Noble Gems glass ornaments, Russian Santas and nativities from G. DeBrekht, detailed, hand-painted pewter ornaments from Wilhelm Schweitzer in Germany, diorama eggs by Brooke Patterson, Steinbach nutcrackers, collectable santas, and ornaments over a variety of other themes.This is the only store in Houston to offer Christmas decor year-round, and they are less hassle than the Nutcracker Market. They also offer lots of Easter and Halloween items with a small selection of other holidays like Mardi Gras, May Day, and St. Patrick's Day. The store does a special Christmas in July sale with big markdowns. The staff are friendly and helpful to point you in the right direction, which is great because there is an overwhelming amount of items in their four rooms. The store is open weekdays and weekends from Oct-Dec, but weekdays only the rest...

Love this place.....the ladies who work here are always friendly and go out of their way to be of assistance. Days after visiting, I decided I wanted to gift to my kids what I had purchased and they were more than helpful. Taking my cc over the phone and holding my ornaments until I could return to town (live 30 miles from them). During the days of COVID, they do prefer you make an appointment and although they love children, they ask, during this COVID time, that you leave them at home. The store is tight and social distancing is difficult. One day this policy will end, but for now, it is what it is!
