The location is what brought me in here, but I'm so upset I didn't come sooner. I was paying almost as much for half of the seand quality I feel like athletes get at my new "box." Pardon me while I geek out a little bit. Here are the differences I've noticed:
Generally, this gym is for the professional that wants a high quality environment to lose weight, gain muscle, or simply not worry about what they should be doing fitness wise. The only reason why I give it four stars not is because the rates are fairly expensive, but I get a couples discount so its not that bad. I think honestly its well worth the...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at GymBowie. While passing through Houston I got a great workout on a Saturday morning. From the moment I walked in everyone was very inviting and accepting. The gym is extremely clean and the equipment is well cared for and I believe fairly new. Bowie is an excellent coach and I imagine that extends to the rest of his staff. He was very informative and hands on from the warmup to the post workout stretches. During the workout he offered well placed advice and technique critique while not being over-bearing. The workout itself can vary, but that Saturday workout was great for all levels of individuals. Read moreI moved here from CA just over a year ago, and within the first few months, I found CrossFit Live Oak. You know when you just know you're in the right place and have found your people. This is that place! It's welcoming, inclusive, fun, and an excellent workout! I was initially nervous about lifting anything much more than 10 pounds, but my confidence has grown so much in a year and I'm now lifting 15 pounds! Just kidding, it's more like 20... 🤣 Jokes aside, and all that to say, Brian is fantastic and super-laid back, all while being a great coach who explains things well. He's also very supportive and I never feel pressured into doing something I know I can't do. Everything can be modified. The community is great too and I know I've made some friends there that will be lifelong. I would 100%...
