Help me Share I never tend to go wrong with anyone except business owners since I have mine and I know that the main thing is to be sociable and customer service that is why I never let anyone attend to my clients because they say an employee is capable of destroying your business in the way you treat your clients and those who know me, owners of many places and also clients of many years know who I am... well I'll tell you what just happened to me in This Restaurant Cuchara Restaurant which for me is Discrimination towards a child or special person (Autism) those who are mothers and have a child or family member with autism know that children like this do not eat normal food like anyone else, for example my son (Chicken nuggets, froot loops, bananas, cookies, mango juice) so I always carry his food with me since I don't like my son to stare hungry... Well, I arrived, I sat down and before ordering I took out a very small topper with his froot loops you can see it in the first photo then the “manager” named Dani approaches something like that you can see it in the photo in quotes because he had everything pretended to be except being the manager of a restaurant with that never imagined outfit he was the manager, The waiters had a better presentation than him, he approached me and told me that I couldn't get food from another place, I explained to him that my son had autism, the child doesn't eat anything and that, well, the restaurant doesn't even have a children's menu, they can eat it there. see in photos and I agree if the name of some other restaurant could be seen on the outside or they would take the bag from another food place but it was a topper there you can see where my child starts to cry because I was going to take away his snack after he I explained to him, he told me that he didn't care and that the child couldn't eat. I don't know if it's discrimination but for me it is, so it's terrible service. I hope they don't have to go through such an unpleasant moment and have to eat with a lump in their throat because of it. I made that public and when I was leaving he came up to me and gave me a card to file a complaint and I told him I don't care what you give me, I will make the complaint my way, you discriminated against my son being able to eat here because he is a special child. and he told me you had never come here as if mocking and I told him many times and in better places they have allowed my son to eat his food when I explain to them that he does not eat anything because of his problem but his ignorance did not let him understand that... I will never return to this place as long as this person is here, if there was a sign saying no special children or children with autism since there is no children's menu I would agree but there isn't… Too bad about the staff in this place… Leave your comments if it has...

Read moreOur recent visit to Cuchara in Houston was a mixed experience. The ambiance was lovely, with a nice, chill, and relaxing environment perfect for a leisurely lunch. However, the dining experience itself left much to be desired.
Upon arriving, we informed our waiter that it was our first time at the restaurant, hoping for some recommendations. Unfortunately, he seemed uninterested and merely gave us the generic response, “everything is good here.”
We started with the guacamole and chips, which turned out to be quite disappointing. The guacamole lacked essential ingredients like onions, tomatoes, garlic, salt, and pepper and most importantly LIME. It seemed more like puréed avocado than the flavorful guacamole we were expecting.
For the main course, my partner had the Tamale de Cazuela, which was dry and resembled a cornbread hamburger more than a tamale. On the other hand, I tried the Asado de Res, which was wonderful and full of great flavors. It was the highlight of our meal.
One major drawback was the service. When our waiter checked on us, we expressed our displeasure with the guacamole and tamale. His response was simply “okay,” and he walked away without clearing any of the dishes. This left our table crowded and uncomfortable when our main courses arrived.
A positive note was their selection of authentic Mexican soft drinks, which added a nice touch to the meal.
In summary, while the ambiance at Cuchara is inviting, the food and service were inconsistent. The Asado de Res was delightful, but the other dishes and the lackluster service detracted from our overall experience. With some improvements in these areas, Cuchara could become a top-notch...
