I’ve been dining in and doing delivery and take away since this place opened. More delivery and take away in recent years since pandemic and remote working. Most of the time the food is good/ok but it’s inconsistent which is what at times can be a problem. I won’t stop ordering because it’s easy and convenient and affordable. The delivery guys are very nice and friendly. Their lunch specials are very affordable. Entree, white rice, choice of soup - hot and sour or egg drop, and veggie egg roll. Roughly $10.95 depending on the protein. Their veggie egg roll is really good. Their soups are ok. Vietnamese foods: Their beef pho to me is a hit or miss. Their chicken pho is more consistent. Their shrimp spring rolls I love but they sometimes don’t hold up well. There have been a few deliveries where the spring roll has popped open and broken apart. Still edible but a little messy. Their com tam (broken rice plate) is good but the protein ratio is off. The shrimp + pork + Viet egg rolls always has 6 shrimps but the pork portion is either a lot or very little (5 tiny pieces). Chinese foods: wings are so super crispy (sauce on the side), their white sauce chicken and vegetables is really good and their Mongolian beef is nice. The crispy egg noodles with seafood is tasty and their Singapore noodles is ok. Overall this is always my go to when I want aomething quick, easy and reliable.

If you’ve even spent a day in the heights you’ve seen this spot. Located off of Yale St is Heights Asian Cafe. Parking may seem non existent but they have this whole back area that’s gated and then another area behind it. Those parking lots are probably worth more than the GDP of Haiti but 🤷🏽‍♂️. Walk in and there’s mad old Asian people picking up orders (GREAT SIGN). I get sat and my server comes over to me. Older Chinese? Woman. Not sure but she gives you the classic Chinese restaurant service. No issues, no small talk, you immediately are ready to order lol however never needed a refill or anything. Supreme. Egg Drop Soup 8/10 - I love a good egg drop soup. I’ll order this over Wonton 7/10 times. This one is great. It was a dreary 55 outside and this warms you right up. Black Pepper Steak Kew 7.7/10 - lotta veggies and not enough meat imo. The brown sauce is clearly a highlight! This brings it all together. The meat might as well have been Taco Bell meat but we’re not here to pass health inspections! This place is good, service is good, it is rather small so watch out. I’d come back here again and I will come back here again bc Bae loves Asian cuisine. Also s/o to @nathanl195 he also is a fan of this place! Oh this is also an Asian cafe. It isn’t strictly Chinese so you can get Viet and Thai? Also. So gotta love options! Follow me on IG Eats_By_Puig

Our go to for classic Chinese food. Perfect for after a night out, a date night in bed with movies, or a pick me up when you’re not feeling well. Our go-tos are the crab puffs, egg drop soup and mixed lo mein. I love that they have the sauces separate and you can basically create any dish on top of their full menu. This is great for those wanting to recreate their fav Chinese dishes but with tofu or veggies to make them vegetarian. The Mafo Tofu is super yummy as well. I had the tofu udon noodle soup for the first time this past time and it was yummy, very light which was great for my hangover but had plenty of veggies and tofu. With the flavor being so light you can mix in Sriracha, soy sauce, hoisin, etc. Prices are also extremely fair. Definitely check this place out, you won’t be disappointed! When ordering out and you want the crunch strips with your soups make sure you add that to your order because other they won’t put any in like they do at other places.

RUDE. First time here was a year ago since we left with an uncomfortable feeling after we finished eating there. This first time we got there maybe 45 minutes unaware before their closing time. The waitress and apparent greeter had us follow her without saying hello or being welcoming. She directs us to a table but we ask to be seated on the booths by the window since those booths were empty, there was hardly any customers at the time and because it was a nice view to the outside streets. The waitress/ greeter made it pretty obvious she did not like our request by showing a bothered look, responding "Ok", pointing towards the booth in a dismissive manner and walking away while apparently saying what sounded like "a waiter will be with you....." I and my fiance look at each other and look around to make sure we weren't the only ones that just experienced that..! Long story short: food was great but the customer service was very uncomfortable. This time around..... we throw around suggestions on where to go grab a bite to eat, my now wife narrows it to Asian food and names this cafe. We both think, agree and say "Let's go see how bothered these people will be this time around". Unfortunately that is what we genuinely thought and felt since we clearly remembered our first experience there. So we go back since we knew the food is good and feel we can tolerate some discomfort..... we get there, we get a smile to or surprise! They waitress directs us to a table and my wife asks for a booth.....the look on the waitress face turned to almost a blank stare and reluctantly abided our request. Or luck, it seemed it was the same waitress from a year ago. Another waitress comes and asks us for our drinks with a slightly more welcoming tone. The waitress that sat us comes from behind him, lays my napkin wrapped utensils and almost throws down the other one to my wife's side!?!?%# I'm looking at this lady with clear disbelief, she sees my look and picks it back up and moves it further and close to where my wife is at where it seemed to be a more appropriate place for it.!. Next: After looking at the menu we are ready to order, the male waiter comes over, we ask questions and start to feel like "we should of known betteR" "the menu is Clear as Day" by his lack of enthusiasm but instead of impatience.... we get our order, it's delicious, the first waitress never came back, seemed she told the other crew members to take our table for her, the guy brings our tab- saying " here you go" with a " keep walking, drop on table, keep moving" kind of way, I reluctantly leave a courteous tip and we leave with a "probably never coming back here again" kind of feeling....

I read a lot of your responses to negative comments and it is very clear you could care less what disatified customers say and feel. You brush them off by repeatedly saying you are sorry, sounding like you know better then the dissatisfied customer by justifying your actions and not suggesting how to make it better next time.....I suggest you educate yourself and look into more training on customer service and hosting. The way you responded to the negative review about sitting the police officers first before the couple waiting is a clear example of how you think you are doing something right and knowingly/ knowing or understanding that you are being rude, unfair and prejudice assuming that the customer should already know why you are sitting others before them or why you are doing what you are doing. Shows your lack of judgement and customer skills and...

I went here today at 5:45 pm. to pick up some pho for my wife. I explained to person taking the order that it was my first time there and asked about the shrimp pho, I normally go to Red Pier Asian Bistro weekly for my wife. I ordered two bowl to go. I also asked if they have Vietnamese eggrolls which they did so I placed an order of four. Total came out to be $28. When I was brought my food I decided to check it since it was my first time there. When I opened the box of eggrolls I noticed they were very tiny, almost 2 inches. Not much bigger than the slice of lime they prepared with the food. I kindly told the cashier who took my order that they were not the size/style of any other Vietnamese eggrolls I've gotten before and I knew my wife wouldn't like them. Then she kindly pulled aside the young, heavy set manager and told him I wanted a refund. He walked towards me carrying another customers to go order and slammed it on the counter in front of me. He appeared very angry and then reached over, put the receipt in my face and told me that was what I ordered. I explained to him that this was my first time eating there while he walked back and entered the refund in the computer. He came back and gave me a refund slip to sign, which I did but I noticed he did not give me my tax back and did the refund incorrectly. He then threw a fit and ignored me while walking to the calculator and yelled "I'm calculating your tax right now." He did all of this in front of the other customers which was very disrespectful to them as well. There was no need for this guy to throw a fit and yell at me, it's very unprofessional. I didn't get upset and simply told him to keep the tax and walked out. I will not eat...

If you live in the Heights area, Heights Asian Cafe is a good Chinese/Vietnamese food spot for friendly service and value. I went to Heights Asian Cafe on a Monday evening with Kristina N. and Wing L. It wasn't very busy, so there was plenty of seating and parking. After looking through the menu, we decided to get an order of Crab Puffs (4 for $4.50) and Pork Dumplings (8 for $5.95) as an appetizer. These were both pretty good, no complaints.

For the main entrées, we ordered three dishes which included a House Special Fried Rice ($9.95), Chili Lemon Grass Chicken ($9.95), and the Tofu Lo Mein ($8.95). The House Special Fried Rice was tasty, and I really liked the Chili Lemon Grass Chicken as it was spicy and full of fresh jalapeño peppers. The Tofu Lo Mein on the other hand was just meh, not really a fan of this dish.

Overall, it was a good, quick meal, and the service was on point. Mary was our server, and she was extremely attentive and made sure our waters were always filled and that we were satisfied. She was also quick to clean off our tables with old plates and gave us our bill on time. I will definitely be coming back to check out more items on their menu.

What to order: -Chili Lemon Grass Chicken ($9.95)

Pros: -Private parking lot -Very friendly and fast service (Mary was a great waitress)

Cons: -No alcohol served, bring your own booze (BYOB) -Closed on Tuesdays -Closes early at 9 p.m. on weeknights and 10 p.m. on weekends, so...
