Literally. Mind. Blowing.

Talk about planning the wedding of the century... and then doing it twice! COVID has not been a friendly partner in this entire wedding experience. Little did I know when I got engaged in 2018, our wedding would not take place until summer of 2021. We have planned and planned this darn thing.

After the first wave of cases, we made the difficult decision of postponing our special day. It was tough and terrifying, but we wanted to do what was best for our guests. Another facet of this terror was all the horror stories of brides past who had to forfeit their large deposits since venues would not transfer their date and money. Obviously, that is another soapbox I will not get on. SFG and Linda were godsends! They transferred my deposit to my new date with ease. We also changed our venue at this point and they adapted without missing a beat.

Our original talks included inspiration pictures and colors I hoped to incorporate in our theme. I love white and modern vibes for the wedding ceremony. My flowers of choice were orchids, hydrangeas, and white roses. She sent me a spread sheet with the break down and prices. It all made my organization heart happy.

Linda met with me during the venue walkthrough and helped with designing displays that would match the space. She and her team were prompt and came to break down at the time specified.

Let's talk about the flowers for a second here. THEY ARE LITERALLY MASSIVE. Honest, it looked like we spent double our final price on flowers/decor. All the guests were absolutely floored. I am an orchid fanatic and I have never seen orchids so monstrous in size. They are all in similar stages of bloom and beyond healthy. My own dad thought it was fake and he even walked me down the aisle, in close proximity to my breathtaking (talk about Pinterest dreams are made here) white orchid bouquet. They exceeded my expectations and then some. So so impressed. I thought I would walk out the venue thinking PFTTT flowers. These arrangements were so beyond beautiful; everyone (including myself) took a handful home. I am literally preserving my bouquet because I just cannot let go of this awe and splendor.

We rented a few pieces of furniture and all of our linens from Thee Secret Floral Garden. They were all beautiful and set up very nicely. The reason why I am giving a low star review is communication. In our contract, it stated that we needed to have all items we wished to rent finalized and that we needed to pay off the remaining balance right around a month before our event date. No problem, thats how most vendors are. The issue that we had was trying to get ahold of The Secret Floral Garden to correctly update our rental inventory. I had tried reaching out multiple times from the middle of August through the end of September to have the quote correctly updated and even with questions about their rental decor. No responses. I had finally heard from them a few days before the wedding (early November) with a quote that still was not updated per my requests previously sent. Then the following evening, a demand for immediate payment. I understand the haste in needing to be paid being that close to the event, but the invoice had not been correctly updated, they had not sent any form of payment links or forms to us prior to this, nor were we able to get into contact with them during the past 2ish months. When we had talked on the phone that night, they said that the items had already been reserved, wrapped, and loaded on the truck for our event that weekend, so we could not simply remove them from the invoice or from the truck. Their "compromise" for lack of communication was to remove the charge for cheapest set of items that I had requested be removed multiple times months before, but that we had to eat a couple of hundred dollars for the most expensive set that had been requested to be removed, that they were going to leave on the invoice. Don't get me wrong, everything that we ended up renting (whether it was intentional or we were stuck with it) was beautiful. But doing all of this 3 days before our wedding was uncalled for and could have been easily avoided had there been better communication from them and correctly updated invoices by the date specified in...
