We visited this location Sephore to have one of my two daughters makeup done for prom. They said, " it would cost $99.00 for a "so-called" Glam face due to her wanting colored eyeshadow. My other daughter was on the other end of the mall having her makeup done in Dillards by MAC. I walked back and forth between the two stores periodically checking up on the two. While also shopping for other things qith my 13 yr old. After 2 hours of waiting, my finally calls me down to Sephora to pay. Her exact words were," Mama can you hurry up and come pay them so I can leave". I walked into the now extremely crowded narrow makeup area to see my daughter. She jumps up and storms out the store headed to MAC to be with her sister. The Sephora rep asked me if I wanted another makeup artist to FIX IT. I didn't even get a chance to see my daughters face and was just like let me pay. So, I could go check up on her. As I get back to MAC my daughter and the MAC makeup team is helping her wipe all of the makeup that Sephora fid off her face. The MAC Manager Marissa said, " it looked a mess"! The foundation was caked on her face soooo thick. It looked like paste. She had so much blush on her cheeks. You would've thought she was auditioning to be a clown. The bright gold glossy Metallic lipstick took me out. My daughter sat in the MAC chair crying and refusing to even attend prom after we had already spent hundreds of dollars for this special event. Marissa (MAC MANAGER) ran around the store looking for products to do my daughters full face for FREE. She ensured her everything would be ok and she was going to fix it. After I realized my daughter was in good hands. I walked back down to Sephora asking to speak to a manager. The manager basically was like, " I'm sorry; its nothing I can do" and " why didn't youll ask for me". I told her, " Go get your staff that took the payment. Im sure she'll inform you". She still refused to provide any type of rectifying options. Therefore, I asked for corporate number. I returned to MAC to after getting Nowhere with Sephora. Once her makeup was completed appropriately. MAC helped her put her lashes on. Which is another service Sephora doesn't provide and left my daughter to deal with it herself on top of the mess they made on her face. Marissa ( MAC Manager) gave both my girls $40 gift bags FREE, HUGS, and INSPIRING WORDS to bless them on their special night. I now regret spending the additional money for the Sephora products I purchased for my 13 yr old. While waiting on the horrible makeup services my other daughter received from Sephora. I almost want to return the. To this day. Now knowing the animal cruelty and all the alcohol used in making them. I'm highly disappointed. And these are all factual statements not just angry comments. Research them for yourself! I'm not sure if I'll be returning to Sephora ever again even with the accounts my girls have with their company. I'm hoping Sephora can rectify this horrific experience and restore some of their...
Read moreI love Sephora! And that is not why I am writing such a horrible review. I had a wedding to attend today and I wanted go not stress so much about it which is why I decided to get my makeup done here, by someone who will do a lovely job I'm sure. Well was I way wrong. I made the appointment a week ago or so. I don't remember the lady's name who did my makeup but it was a Hispanic girl with purple hair. She seemed really nice and I loved the way she FINALLY was able to find a perfect foundation shade for me. So I was going to wear a light pink dress with gold accessories so I wanted my makeup to be a very casual pink look. I showed her the picture of what I wanted and said that I would like the same colors (keep in mind they were light pink with gold glitter). She quickly looked at it for 1 second and said okay. I didn't mind thinking she knew what she was doing so I decided to trust her. So she came back with all of the things she need which was the foundation, highlighter, etc. I loved the way she did my foundation. I have a lot of pimples and horrible uneven skin tone and she was able to cover all that up! I closed my eyes for the eyeshadow and I didn't open them until it was done. I could not believe what I saw. It was a dark deep purple shade with silver glitter. I was horrified because I didn't have much time to redo everything. The picture was clear as to what I wanted. I looked horrible and felt like a drag queen which was the complete opposite of what I wanted! I didn't have time to redo it which is why I went home and had to do my own eyeshadow as quick as I could. It was a horrible experience and I will never trust Sephora to do my makeup again. I wish I could have taken pictures to show you guys but I just couldn't even bring myself to. Idk if the lady was lazy to go back seeing she got the wrong colors and decided to go along...
Read moreWent to Sephora looking for 3 products. I knew I needed a Primer, Foundation, and Contour but didn't know which brand or shade to get for my skin tone. In the past, years ago, I took my MIL to the Sephora in Galleria, asked an employee to help her find the products she wanted based on her skin type and was extremely pleased by the service. Therefore, I walked in, expecting the same service at this location. I walked around for a bit, the store was packed, and every employee seemed busy with a customer or stocking products. I saw some sample foundations and wanted to try to find my match on my own. An employee got made bc I grabbed a sample spong off a table. She said I had no business touching that area. I was confused, so I told her I wanted to find my match on foundation and needed help. She had a horrible attitude. Even when I asked her where the trash was to throw away the spong I had in my hand, she annoyingly replied, "It's in front of your face." I looked around, and she pointed to a small trash can under a desk, next to a chair. I was on the other side of the desk, so I hadn't seen it. I threw it away and was about to go ask someone else when she paged a different employee to help me. West was the complete opposite of her. He was so nice from the start. With a big smile on his face he asked me what he could help me with and I explained I only knew I needed 3 products but other than my skin type being dry I had no idea what to look for. He immediately showed me a couple of products, and I fell in love with his recommendations. I even ended up asking a couple of other stuff and walked out happy. I wore the products he recommended the same night, and my best friend praised my makeup. Would definitely go back and ask for West if I ever...
