I am very angry at the server who prepared our salad. She was short, round, black haired and was working there around 5pm today when we were there. She looked like she was in charge at the time we were there. She was very rude to my wife. My wife was trying to point out what she wanted in her salad and when the girl rudely told her to keep her hands behind the glass, with a very condescending tone. We did not point inside the glass, just at the top of the glass. She did not just say this one time, she said it many times to embarass in front of other customers. Pointing at the items we want from the top of the glass does not get anywhere near the food for her to have that kind of a rude reaction. If this is the way your servers treat customers, I'd rather make my own salad at home rather than spend $20 on a salad and be treated that way. This does not make me want to come back to Salata, because it gives me a bad experience that I don't want to repeat. I've been in the retail industry and know that this is not the way to treat customers and get customers to come back. You will lose business if she keeps that up. As a server you should be nice and happy and cheerful to make customers happy and get them to come back again and again. With that attitude you will definitely lose customers. Customers come in to relax and eat a meal and not to be rudely treated. There are many other restaurants in Houston that I can go to that won't...

Had a regular salad with their "Seafood Mix" and not even fifteen minutes later I became ill. Thinking I was just getting a headache from the stress of the day I decided to take the remainder of my salad home. Only by the time I reached the other side of the food court on my way home I became extremely nauseous. So I went into the bathroom. I ended up getting sick to the point I was in the bathroom for the better part of the night and following morning. When I reached out to my physician that morning I was dehydrated and couldn't hold down fluids he immediately said it was food poisoning. I had to have an IV to replace all the fluids I had depleted by the end of the third day I was just starting to feel better. Having gotten sick and when I informed your manager at least I think it was your manager as she was beyond rude. Her team members identified her as Z? I don't think she understood the severity of it. Food Poisoning is Not funny or something to take lightly. I will be calling your corporate office. Shame on you 😞🤢🤮 The only positive thing is that I will be reporting my issue to your corporate office and to the Health Department. Avoid this location...

A salad restaurant should provide a relaxed comfortable setting to enjoy your meal. The natural wood finishing, green and brown colors here have a nostalgic and natural look. The original Salata design is a timeless classic. This is my FAVORITE place to eat in whole city and I have been coming here since 2017. But I have heard terrible changes are coming -- this will all be torn down and turned into the same design Sugarland has. The Sugarland location was once beautiful until it became a loud cold bright white operating room. I would never drive far to be there. Right now in Mem City Salata I feel like I am in a nice restaurant. But come in few months this will all be GONE and the tacky fast food places next door will blend in perfectly with Salata’s new look. There is a good old American saying "If it isn't broken do not fix it." An upgrade would be fine if it were consistent with the Salata theme of healthy salad. Unfortunately, their new design is more consistent with a cheap burger joint from the 1950s. I give 5 stars for now..

Anyway, about the food - it never gets boring because there are tons of ways to customize your salad and it is...

I love the salad bar concept, so this place is great. You can add as many toppings as you’d like. There are many options to choose from, but surprisingly, no pasta. Not that big of a deal, but most salad bars have some type of pasta. On the other hand, they have items other salad bars don’t, like meat add-ons. One thing I would love to see is sunflower seeds. Ditch the pumpkin and bring on the sunflower! I like pumpkin seeds, but I much prefer sunflower seeds on my salads. This location is right inside the doors that enter the mall food court. Fairly convenient, if you can find a parking spot. They have both booth seating and regular chairs. Fountain drinks plus specialty teas are available. I like the peach lemonade. They could do a little better on maintaining the trash. You are expected to bus your own table, but the garbage is backed up, so I couldn’t actually throw the items away. Other than that, it’s not a bad spot for a healthy lunch.

Salata has a good variety of fresh ingredients to customize your salad to your taste. You can have it with one of their delicious homemade dressings like the Ginger or just add oil and vinegar. In addition, they offer different meats for your protein. The place is clean and the employees are courteous.
