I (Ms. Brown) visited this particular store on 4/6/2016 and was greeted by a representative by the name of Donta, who said he was the manager of the store when I asked for a manager. I was attempting to purchase female Air Maxs that were supposedly a new style (Pink, white and grey) costing $200 and was told they only had one pair left. I asked Donta for a new pair and he said that the ones I tried on were new, but when I got to the check out desk they were in a beat up box and the paper inside the box was crumbled up. Needless to say, the shoes looked as it they had been tried on several times. So, I asked Donta for a new pair again, and he said it was the only pair they had left in the store for that size, that I could order this brand new style shoe online. I proceeded to ask for the corp number because I did not believe that a new style shoe would have only one 7 1/2 in the entire store, to which he claimed to have no knowledge of, but gave me access to a toll free number on the back of the receipt. I called the toll free number and spoke with several representatives while I was still in the store, who finally got me to the correct department that could help me with my complaint. The bottom line is, if I wanted to spend my money on a pair of used shoes that several people have tried on, that is my choice and my money, and not the store's representative (Donta). However, if I am spending $200 dollars for shoes, I should be able to also buy new shoes (if requested) and not shoes someone else has tried on multiple times. At the end of the day, I cancelled my membership with Finish Line to not return and went to spend my $200 at Footlocker in Deerbrook Mall, which is where I should have been in the first place. They were able to supply me with a pair of new shoes of my choice and didn't mind making sure I was comfortable with my purchase. Customer service goes along way and will kill any business, but horrible customer service coming from people like Donta, puts them in the position where they have to look for another job eventually. He is unfortunately the type of person that can hinder any business with the opportunity to make money if he continues his...
Read moreKind of a cool place that's as far as it goes. Customer service is horrible could not get help even if you're on fire, and when you ask questions no one really cared or wanted to help you. Still decide to buy something they didn't have a size we need no problem that happens. Instead of the employee asking us would you like us to order it for you we had to ask them if they did such a thing obviously the employees do not care as long as they have a job so whoever owns this place good luck. We went ahead and gave them a display of the shoe we wanted, they went ahead and ordered it. When we got home we checked the email that was forward to us, they had ordered the wrong shoe we went back the next day and let them know, and asked if they can fix it? They told us no we would have to wait for the shoe to be delivered to our home, and then return it. This is supposed to be a birthday gift. Again it shows they really don't care about customer service and how to treat a customer the shoes we bought were not cheap and you would think a customer would receive better treatment than that. If you're wondering why we went ahead and bought that pair of shoes from this place honestly the answer is we couldn't find this pair of shoes anywhere else including online, and it was what was asked for, for a birthday gift. This place has a chance to be something spectacular however the fad will end so will the life of the store if it's continued to be ran the way it is. Whoever owns this store or is in charge of the store should pay a little more attention and closer attention to who they hire and how they treat their customers because ultimately one by one customers will leave and never come back. Don't think it can't happen just ask the stores at Greenspoint Mall. "All of them".
Look at the responses from the supposedly owner their generic and just like their employees have no concern or care for...
Read moreI went inside this store for fourth of july, i should have seen when they didn't greet us as a red flag. After we found a pair of shoes we looked around for someone to help us get the size we wanted, a guy dressed really nice didn't even look like he worked there came up and told us the shoe would be out in a few minutes. After we received our shoe we went to make line at the check out. There was only one cashier at that moment and honestly would have rather kept it with one person checking us out. Because next moment a dark skin lady goes to the register and says "what shoes?" not even a hello? did we find everything okay? we proceeded to brush it off and we said hello to her, we told her new balance size 11. She assumed without asking and grabbed a toddlers size 11 box. We were confused and wanted to let her know it was not that shoe. When we mentioned it to her she said yea, and ringed up the box. After that i personally told her it was a men's size 11. She proceeded to not say anything, threw the toddler to the counter and grabbed the right shoe. She asked for email and I gave her mines, she pressed an option on the screen pretty sure it was to verify if the email was correct she pressed what she wanted to. After that we payed and she didn't even say thank your or bye or anything. I myself have worked in a shoe store and the most important thing is customer service and I have gotten to see the side clients don't see, the stress, the frustration. But they should not have someone on the floor with that stuck up energy and attitude. It does not make anyone feel comfortable neither welcomed to come back again neither as they care for actually interacting with customers. Jd may have a great selection and variety of shoes but it does not beat the customer service that champs, footlocker and...
