Boycott Bluebird Bridal. ...the nightmare continues. Hopefully you all will remember when I posted about this bridal store and the owner. I am the mom, who cancelled a wedding dress, because my daughters wedding got postponed-cancelled because of Covid. After just 48 hours and numerous calls, the owner answered the phone at 9 am on a Monday morning and the order was processed and she could not cancel. Really...we were just gone to sell. My daughter was hysterical. $489.00 is alot of money.
We waited 5 months to receive a knock off-dress. You would not be able to sell it. When, I picked up the dress on Friday, she would not allow me to inspect the dress. I took it home. Here is what I found, the construction of the dress is very poor quality, the bodice and skirt are not connected, all unfinished seams and edges, several runs in the fabric too, it is dirty, not pressed, the zipper is not sewn in properly.
A mother's instinct is always right! I went over to the store to speak with the owner, she was not there. She quickly called the police to do her bidding of unethical and fraudulent product. I asked her to look at the dress, refund our money, or repair the dress. She said no! The officer was shocked! There were so many things she could of done. One of the employees shared with me, that is was a quality control issue. The owner stood her ground, she choose to steal our money, she chose not even to look at the dress, even after I asked the officer if I could post. To all the mom's and brides, please do not take your daughter to this shop or with this shop owner. The officer came to my car and shared with me to take her civil court. Please see pictures below. My daughter is in tear, because she does not want me to have do all the legal agenda. All she had to do, was not lie to the police, say I am sorry, order the real dress, do anything, then being ignorant. So, this is ⚠️warning, please avoid this shop. No compassion, a unethical, fraudulent product. We just filed a claim with state, filed a report, and will file civil complaint too. The bride is suppose to look beautiful not tattered. Just horrible human and store. I wish I could sew. When Erin called the police to meet her at her store, then when she had determined once again, that empathy was not in her vocabulary, just no, there is no quality control, charged over $200.00 then list price online, unethical, just filed with the State of NC for consumer right, will file in court next week, she lied to the officer, well I will see her in court. Will verify with manufacture on Monday too. Never offered to replace, repair, or return. Never ever even inspected the dress. Brides , please...
Read moreINCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! I have been engaged for less than 4 weeks and am getting married on October 6th of THIS YEAR! Last weekend my mom and best friend sent me on a whirlwind schedule of getting started with wedding dress shopping since the wedding is essentially 4 months away. I like to shop, but usually just on my own, and I rarely spend much time in a store. I know what I like, I get it, I leave, is usually how it goes. I was not totally looking forward to wedding dress shopping if I'm honest. I'm a tall (5'10") curvy girl and I already anticipated stores not having dresses that would fit me to even try on or to have fun with. Paige & Elliot was my first stop, and thank God it was, because out of the 7 places I visited in 2 days, it was by far THE BEST experience I had. Candace and Erin are so wonderful, complimentary, accommodating, and have a great way of offering their suggestions without making you feel like they are overpowering your judgment. They had SO many different types of dresses and many sizes to choose from. I was able to try on numerous dresses in a size that would fit me and it didn't make me feel self conscious or overwhelmed. I actually had a GREAT time, felt encouraged, beautiful, and confident when I walked out of the store. I ended up finding my dress there, but still went on to the other stores just to be sure. 7 stores later, it was still the dress to beat, and I didn't find anything better or anything else I was happy with. I called Candace and ordered my dress yesterday, and I am SO happy with my choice! Thanks to Candace and Erin for such a wonderful experience and for helping my mom, sister, best friend, and I to have such a great time together in such a special time of my life. I am so thankful your store is the first one I walked in to. You both are wonderful at what you do! Thank you from the bottom...
Read moreI had a great experience initially ordering my Martina Liana wedding gown. Unfortunately, my experience after that was terrible, and the owner, Erin, still owes me $239.
I ordered my wedding gown custom length, so it would not require a hem. This is a standard process. When it arrived, I tried on my custom gown, and it was over 6" too long. Erin made me uncomfortable by blaming me (for wanting custom length) and the designer, and never took ownership of her mistake (she measured the gown in the wrong place and caused the error). The next day, my mom called to discuss options and Erin offered a refund - we accepted because we were not confident she would fix the issue. I went to P&E to pick up a refund check, and she wrote the check for the amount minus sales tax (this is illegal and tax fraud). Erin said she already paid the sales tax to the government and could not refund it. My mom previously owned a bridal salon and explained to Erin that this isn't true, and the store would get that money back from the government. She refused to refund the tax amount.
I filed a complaint with the BBB, and Erin's response was that she charged me a "re-stocking fee" of $239 - I assume she learned that it was illegal to not refund sales tax and decided to change her wording. Either way she words it, I still paid $239 for her mistake.
Be cautious shopping here - Erin has been a Wedding Planner for awhile, but is new to the bridal gown world. She admitted that she has "growing pains" and unfortunately, I had to pay for...
