Edit 2! after the shop posted the video of you came to see my comment hi! the reason my sister was texting my mom is because she was in the hospital with a brown recluse spider bite, I would post pictures but thatâs gross lol, also if you read my review you can see where I wasnât complaining about him telling her to leave or accusing her of stealing, we all know that she didnât have any ill intentions, the shop doesnât thatâs fine, my review was because of how they continued to let her stay open packs let us purchase $100 worth of products and after we spent $$ they told her to leave. WHICH THEY DID NOT SHOW IN THE VIDEO!! is us purchasing packs, cards, and boxes!!! anyways whatâs bad about the shop is bald man being rude to the gal in pink after my sister apologized and happily left. Craziness!! I am the girl in black in the video I am the one who left this review!! here are photos of the shop calling me the b-word on their social media, mind you i purchased products from these people.. i not once did anything that was remotely close to stealing! i had nothing to do with it so calling me the b-word is insanity after I wrote a honest review! also the owner deleted their reply to my first review which I also will include photos of now
Edit! I got a very quick reply from the shop owner! we easily would have explained to the police it was an accident, nobody was going to steal $9 cards from you, we purchased all of our merchandise. If she has the intentions of stealing why would I come on here and write a review explaining everything that happened. Itâs silly, if you have a high theft rate thatâs no problem, completely understandable you canât treat your other customers poorly because of it. TRUST ME!! WE WONT BE BACK TO YOUR STORE!!! if she wanted to take your $9 cards we wouldnât have purchased over $100 worth of stuff after!!! Ridiculous!!!!!
Also we donât care if you post it, it was an accident.
Me, my sister, and our friend visited this card shop today. The shop itself was very nice but the people who run it are not, my sister got a text message from our mom and she was holding two cards in her hand when she did. Without even thinking about it she put them in her hoodie pocket to respond to the text. She has never stolen anything a day in her life⊠anyways a lady yelled at her on the cameras they had and she immediately took them out of her pocket and apologized profusely to the gentleman who was helping us, he said âitâs okayâ and she explained it was a total accident. She felt terrible about it, we then purchased those cards and we purchased some cards pack and a box. When a second gentleman a very tall man I believe he was bald, came out and showed my sister the footage on the security camera, again she apologized and explained that it was a total accident, and said that we bought the cards. The man then asked my sister to leave which she did as thatâs their right to ask her to leave. However after that he was extremely rude to my friend who was still trying to buy a booster box and he was telling her âI should have made all of you leaveâ just making rude comments to her when she has nothing to do with the situation that happened to my sister. I enjoyed the shop but unfortunately that mad ruined it for me. My sister has no intentions of stealing $9 worth of cards, I was standing right there next to her when it happened and me and our friend were in the middle of getting things we wanted to purchase. Accidents happen if he wanted her to leave thatâs fine, however me and our friend did nothing wrong to be treated rudely by that individual. Disappointing to...
Read moreLetâs get one thing straight, Catch em collectibles is THE place to be if youâre trying to get Pokemon in the Charlotte area, itâs the BEST place to get pokemon in North Carolina. Iâve been all over the west coast and no place has stayed in my mind like Catch Em has. Catch Em Collectibles has a completely different atmosphere compared to some of the card shops Iâve been into. The people that work at Catch Em manage to create a warm and welcoming environment while keeping things professional. The people behind the counter knew what they were talking about, the moment I had a question it was answered swiftly and accurately. Just by talking to these guys you can tell theyâre passionate about the hobby and care about how business is conducted. The next thing I remember is how fully stocked they were, as I said before Iâve been all across the west coast and no store has managed to compare to the stock Catch Em had. They had everything I couldâve asked for, they had everything ranging from recent modern sets like black bolt and white flare to older sets such as supreme victors, XY and even some vintage packs. Speaking of vintage, they have a vintage selection unlike any other. I was able to pick up a few cards I needed that I was unable to find anywhere else. The guys behind the counter were even able to work on the pricing with me which is something other card shops havenât even managed to do. Theyâre singles collection is also one to be amazed at, I couldâve spent hours standing at their counters looking through all their modern singles. One of the best qualities of the store is their pricing and the selling experience. On the contrary to what Iâve seen some of these reviews say, Catch Emâs selection is nicely priced right at market which is something other card shops try to do. Catch Em wasnât trying to squeeze me out of every penny in fact they put some change back in my pocket. I sold some cards to them and the pricing they gave me on the cards where more than fair, they bought and traded at a higher percentage than other card stores Iâve been too, which makes me feel better and allows me to enjoy the hobby more because I can afford to buy more pokemon. Catch Em Collectibles is truly THE pokemon collectible shop to see if your in the Charlotte area or if your in NC in general, I recommend this shop to everyone Iâve come across that enjoys this hobby. This shop is THE pokemon shop of...
Read moreWhen we first started going to this place, we were amazed how awesome it was. We were extatic that we finally found a place that sells vintage packs near us we could go to all the time. We talked very highly of the store to people in the community and gave them lots of praise. One day my partner called them to try and find me a birthday present. She asked them if they had a vintage base set pack with Charizard on it. They said yes, so she made the 45 minute drive to pick it up. Once there she noticed something was different with the pack. She asked them what was up with it. Their reply was that they get all their packs from a reputable source. To which my partner replies with, OK we belive you, because at the time we did. After closer inspection they realized the pack could possibly be shadowless, and took the pack from her refusing the purchase. She was very confused, she drove all the way there, had spoken to them on the phone, and they took the pack from her refusing to let her purchase it? They claimed they wanted to open it themselves, to see if it was authentic, which was not the case. On the drive home she started putting two and two together. Why the pack looked different to her, why they suddenly wouldn't sell it, etc. So they had a back-and-forth on Google, where lies were told. Whatever, we just won't come back, and this won't be our new place. No big deal. Fast-forward a year later, and a video comes up on my Instagram feed. Where they're doing a pack opening just after my birthday, it's the same pack. The narrative they spun for the video is that they're opening the pack live because a customer accused them of selling fake packs. But the truth is that's the story they cane up with after it was opened and wasn't shadowless like they'd thought. We just wanted to warn the community, this is what they're about. They lied to us, we know it and so do they. When we tried to set the record straight on Instagram, they deleted our comment and blocked our page. Before continuing to make content about their lie. Also the guy behind the counter reluctantly helps you. You know how when you go into a store and try to buy something and the person acts like you're an inconvenience to them? It's that...
