Last November (2024) I took advantage of an offer at this store. I have been a customer of Verizon and its processors since cell phones, bag phones in fact, were invented. The offer was to transfer a preexisting line to Verizon and receive a free phone, a $5 increase in my Verizon bill, and a $200 gift card. I still have the note the Verizon store employee wrote me regarding the gift card. The gift card never arrived. I called Verizon and the representative attempted to assist me but ultimately had to open a ticket to research the matter. After several weeks, I received notification that the ticket had been closed although I never was told the result. After waiting a few weeks to see if the gift card would be sent by mail or credited to my account, I went back to the store to inquire because neither a card was received nor credit was applied. The store employee told me that I could not be helped in person even though I was sold this offer in the same store. He said I would have to call a Verizon representative which I have already done.
It has become apparent to me that Verizon no longer values their customers (at least me), even legacy ones, as they once did. The few times I have requested service by phone, text, and in person, over the last 30+ years I was always thanked for being a long-term customer. It was a nice recognition in addition to typical good service. My experience over the last ten months has taught me that I am no longer valued as a legacy or any other type customer. I think everyone should receive outstanding service; the extra acknowledgement was nice. Now at Verizon, my long-time standing is not acknowledged and is certainly not leverage for basic service delivery.
It pains me to say it is time for me to shop other carriers because I can no longer recommend this store, or Verizon in general, based on this experience. All customers should be valued and provided better service than this. Not honoring the terms of the offer is unforgivable. Not appreciating my loyalty to Verizon is disappointing.
UPDATE: Verizon responded by providing a case number and asking me to complete a form at a link that was in their review response. I did as they asked on September 19, 2025. Now it is October 3 and I have not received an acknowledgment of my submission, no resolution by providing the missing credit, nor a denial of my request to issue the credit I was sold as a package when I transferred a Spectrum phone to Verizon. Just no response. Their inaction and indifference proves that the experiences I detailed in my initial review continues. Verizon told me I would receive a $200 gift card or credit in November 2024 and they did not deliver. As detailed above, I opened a case that was ultimately closed without a credit or explanation. Then as witnessed by anyone who reads Google reviews, I was asked to take my time to complete another form, which I did, and again no response, acknowledgment, reply, or resolution. Folks, it does not get any more unprofessional than that in my view. Verizon aparently has no regard for me as a customer. It was not always that way over my three decades as a customer, but it is now. That was their last opportunity to retain my business, and opportunity that they have not earned in the first place.
I strongly recommend existing customers explore other carrier options and potential customers to not choose Verizon based on this incredibly inept display of customer service ability and overall...
Read moreI went there Saturday of May 6 2017.. I have problems from my Droid Turbo 2 when you take a picture it clicks it works okay when you try to do the video camera it takes a picture but no video and I complained to Verizon about the issue before I got the new phone replacement and I took it to Shay to update and transfer everything it he said I would have to leave the phone for about four or five hours and come back in the evening to pick it up and I'll tell him I said I need my phone back as soon as possible and when I came back he was busy on the phone with another customers credit problem and wouldn't come out to address whether my phone was ready or not so he sent somebody else out after I talk to the manager and the manager was not helpful to me personally because I think the problem when I had before when I came to that store was a cell phone case that got scratched by one of the employees by using rough paper towel to wipe the screen off with scratched it so they had to replace that they weren't too happy about that but the other reason I came to that store may the 6th was to get my phone updated so I can turn the other one back into the UPS back to the company I finally went to the store and Clemmonsville near Winston-Salem at a legit store Chris took care of me there at that store at the corporate store very nice very good attitude customer-friendly but like I said I'm disappointed in the one in Huntersville very disappointed I don't understand why they're so negative toward a customer who pays the bill and if it wasn't for us customers they...
Read moreHorrible customer service at this location. I went in due to having no cell service on my phone/no sim message popping up and was met by an associate named Murat. He told me I was not listed as an “Account Manager” therefore I couldn’t have anything fixed because I was not authorized. What should’ve been a 5 minute fix took over an hour of using the store phones to call my parents who were the designated “account managers.” I was told my mom could not authorize me over the phone. My mom tried to add me as a manager so I could move forward with repairing my phone, however, it told her that her phone was too new and she wasn’t authorized to add new managers. When she called back the store to speak with Murat and rectify the situation, he told me she couldn’t do anything over the phone and would not speak with her. After I FINALLY got him to walk over the phone, he cut my mother off multiple times and would not let her speak or ask a question. He then proceeded to walk away from the phone. He did not give her the time or the respect to hear what was happening and if it was anything he could help fix. I left this store without having my phone fixed. It’s embarrassing that this is how you treat customers who have had phone plans with you for 10+ years and it shows that you do not value those loyal customers. This was more than unacceptable. Do...
