DISCRIMINATORY PRACTICES!! I took 4 bags full of clothes & shoes to sell to this store, toting many nice brands including Abercrombie, Guess, American Eagle, True Religion etc.. and I returned with a friend to this store an hour later. My friend and I struck up a cool conversation with the girl who assisted us at the register. I noticed that the actual manager, kaylee, (looking anything BUT professional w/ pink hair & face piercings) was just standing behind her employee with a hateful look on her face. While we were waiting in line to get the buyout for the clothing, we discussed how the World Economic Forum was trying to turn our country into a dictatorship. It was right after this that the manager did an about face and flat out refused to buy a single piece of the clothing I had brought in. The change in her demeanor from when we first came in to the store was really unsettling. We were so shocked at her attitude that my friend and I decided to try the Platoās Closet located off Univercity Blvd. in Charlotte, just to see if we really had been discriminated against by this manager. And GUESS WHAT?? They wanted many pieces of the clothing, paid me $78 cash and couldnāt have been nicer!! Mystery solvedā¦The owner of this location needs to put MP in the position of manager, and oust Kaylee ! There are a ton of reviews discussing this managerās unprofessional and entitled haughty attitude with customers, & if youāll notice after every 1 star review on here there will be like three 5 star reviews & all of them mentioning āhow great Kaylee isā hmmm.. thatās not suspect...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecent Platoās, however the girl working the front āKayleeā was telling a story about another woman who had visited the store who made a comment about her money to which Kaylee seemingly replied āyou probably shouldnāt be shopping for clothes thenā and the apparently went to tell the woman that she didnāt work here when she asked for her name. That was maybe a couple of minutes before I walked to the front to check out. There was a young man to my left behind the counter organizing clothes and the employee Kaylee and another young girl. When the young girl talking with Kaylee told her that I was ready to check out, without even looking up to acknowledge me, she told the other girl āI canāt do anything right nowā. She was counting her drawer. Fine. But at least say it to ME, the customer, and not your coworker. I was never actually acknowledged by either female but I missed the other girls name. Luckily, the young man organizing clothes behind the counter was kind enough to stop what he was doing to go ahead and check me out (unfortunately I didnāt catch his name either). Had the two girls behind the counter actually spoken to me and asked me to wait, I wouldāve been fine. But they both seemed content continuing to talk to one another. There was also a young man working the dressing rooms who made the comment āI would never buy anything from hereā when jumping into some other employees conversation as I was checking out. I would definitely address professionalism with the staff. Because thatās wild. Honestly there are better locations with staff that is much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTo the āemployeeā women with the blonde hair who felt the strong desire to follow me around the store you may want to be more selective about who you follow. If you knew anything at all you would have noticed that I was carrying a 4000+ LV bag, I pulled up to your store in my new Lincoln Navigator and I came in to buy my daughter cheap quality clothes to use as a cosplay outfit- but thank you so much for showing me the attention I deserve. If you were going to follow me around the store the least you could have done was offer to help me. You couldnāt even provide sub-par customer service, this was after I flat out asked you if we had a problem. Thank god Iām not a regular customer. I feel bad for customers who may not have the choice based on means but to frequent your store. And based on the 3.2 star ratings I can 100% understand why. The entire situation was kind of comical, it was also funny that out of the maybe 5/6 employees who were working at the time only one had a decent attitude. Platoās closet start paying your employees the same amount you charge for a pair of jeans- maybe then youāll get some half way decent employees. Youāre in the wrong area to follow customers around...
