Whenever I go into Harbor Freight in Idaho Falls, ID, I get the same feeling I used to get as a little boy when I walked into a Western Auto store or the Toy Department at King’s!!!!

It’s the feeling of “I know they have what I came in for, but I also know I’m going to see some things I didn’t know I needed until I got there!!!! Thank Heavens I made it into Harbor Freight when I did”!!!!!

I'm a novice when it comes to any tools beyond a hammer and nails. I wanted to hang a 20lb mirror in my drywall and decided a hammer and nail probably wouldn't suffice. I was looking for a power drill, not knowing exactly what kind I'd need for the job and was greeted by an associate pretty quickly. He inquired what I was looking for, what kind of project it was for and guided me through the different equipment capabilities, pricing and any additional attachments and accessories I might need. He also advised me of the best mounting hardware for hanging large, heavy objects in drywall. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I probably asked some really rookie questions, but he didn't make me feel stupid 😳 I ended up purchasing other items as well because they were doing a pre black Friday sale. I am surprised at how affordable most everything is and signed up for their loyalty program. I came here for some tools I needed because I can usually get them at a better price than elsewhere. Some people say that the tools here are not built to hold up, but that has not been my experience. I have many tools I purchased from Harbor Freight 8 or none years ago. Some have seen their share of hard work and are still running just fine. I don't use them professionally, but I do quite a few projects. I only once had a problem, and they exchanged it under warranty without any argument.

I feel that for most people who don't use their tools every day, the quality of what you get here is good. I would guess even the professional would come out ahead even if they had to replace the tools more often because the difference in pricing is quite a bit.
