I think this is quite delicious Thai food and they really do have their sauces and seasonings on point. It is easy to choose an exciting vegetarian dish as they pretty much allow you to build your own curry. I highly recommend the house special peanut curry. Very flavorful. The spring rolls are freshly made and are really basic so most palates will enjoy these. I highly recommend the eggplant dish, it doesnt look great in the photos, but wow what lovely flavors. The interior is very low frills which is kind of sweet and non-assuming but can come across as a little neglected, especially the restroom which is gas station level. There is also a very persistent and annoying door chime that plays an extended electronic tune anytime someone enters or exits... total buzz kill. HOWEVER, I have overlooked these issues because they're food is on point and the prices are fair. The real masterpiece in this restaurant is their fried tempura bananas with coconut ice cream. A total home run! Slightly salty tempura with super cool vegan coconut ice cream. Just Wow!

My food was okay... The food itself wasn't bad. The flavor was definitely there - along with a lock of someone's hair. On a scale of 1-5, I ordered a spice level 3 & the spice was almost non-existent. Although, it didn't matter much once I discovered the hair because it went directly in the trash along with my appetite. My thai tea was heavy on the milk. My coworker ordered the orange chicken lunch special and said it was okay. He appreciated that it wasn't drowned in sauce like many other places. The lunch specials are a pretty good deal if you're looking for decent food at an affordable price. We ordered our food over the phone and took it back to the office. I called the restaurant as soon as I discovered the hair and the woman on the other line apologized. I wasn't able to go back since I was on my lunch break and I'm not quite sure if I want to. Based on other reviews, Thai Kitchen is probably a pretty decent place as long as your experience is much better than mine.

Thai kitchen in Idaho falls has a peaceful atmosphere, with quiet music playing and framed pictures displaying Thai imagery and culture. Seating is available at a booth or a table, depending on your preference. I ordered Pad Thai with squid as my choice of meat. Service was quick, which I appreciated. The food was presented nicely and the flavor was great. I would expect more bold flavors from a Thai restaurant, but the flavor was in no way bad. The portion size was good and I left the establishment full and I was happy to see that my dish had a healthy amount of squid in it. The overall experience left me wanting to go back.

Apparently the majority share holder didn't like the way things were being done here. All previous staff and part owners were removed and replaced. Due to poor experiences with the previous staff and deteriorating food and service I had stopped going.

I am please to say, with the new staff service and food have come back up. The consistency is back and the quality is good. So far my only complaints are: if you order a 5 (the hottest) it's not as hot as it used to be. Second, if you order on the phone the girl taking orders is very hard to understand, however, it is manageable. I again recommend giving these guys a chance.

LAST REVIEW: Not sure what has happened here, if management has changed, if they've gotten cocky, or something else. Regardless the quality and service are not what they used to be. We've called to get hours only to show up and find out they "decided to close early" 3 or 4 times. The last time my wife got someone on the phone who was supposedly a "part owner" (even though seconds earlier she'd been told no management was there that night and the cook told them to close early) and the "part owners" response to her was, "well I won't make you any food tonight but I will if you come tomorrow." She told him we come regularly and this is the 4th time this has happened and that they'd lost a customer. His response was, "Okay? And?"

On top of the poor service the food is no longer quality and consistent. Sometimes things like the curry are great, other times they are watery, missing ingredients, and containers are half full. In addition, I've read several recent reviews of people getting food poisoning here...and being met with similar concern that my wife received (none).

This used to be a great place to eat. It used to be packed all the time (not so much anymore, obviously others feel the same way). However, I'd no longer recommend it.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is one of the favorite places of my wife and I to go. The food is always quality and the experience is extremely consistent. They have a spicy scale from 1-5 and the 5 is ACTUALLY spicy. Most places that claim to be spicy end up being disappointing, but these guys deliver. The green curry is heavenly. I've never had anything from here that I didn't like. It's definitely not a formal, high dollar, sit down restaurant, but their prices are great, the food is great, and I wouldn't want...

I’ve been eating here over 7 years!! Love the curry’s, house special is fav!!!!! But the new workers maybe last 1.5 years, not personable!! I miss the welcoming, kind , inviting staff!! I get culture plays some part but having four customers, and not being attentive to them, not asking if they need refills, not asking if their food is OK, not ask them if they need boxes to go, and then being demanding about a tip. Literally, the staff came up and asked for a more generous tip. I explained I did 5% because the service was barely worth that. The meat in our curry was wrong, but wasn’t going to complain because didn’t wanna waste food, ordered the drink did not get any refills or asked if we wanted any refills, we had to come up and request them. Then we had to request our check, and then we had to come up and get boxes to go. When it is not busy, and the server is not paying attention to the customers, and being courteous, even in. Have a good day thank you for coming in, and a smile would be inviting. I have given this place five chances since this happened. Today I placed an order to go because I do love the food, I figured, just won’t eat here, my meal was $16 to go, and gave a $20 and I had to stand there and request my change. Assuming I’m gonna leave a four dollar tip for picking up an order to go. I would normally leave a dollar because you did not have to be intensive to meet. You did not have to refill any of my dreams. She didn’t have to come check and see if my food was OK. When assume I’m leaving you a four dollar tip and I have to ask for my change, I am flabbergasted. I honestly do not even understand because I have been to this D’s kitchen, I have never felt this way. Staff may not be always as cheerful as we would like because of the cultural differences. But this is just plain being ignorant, selfish and not a very friendly. I seriously tried to just do an order to go, and I feel like that was even a failure.

Ps. Please 🙏 smile, pay attention to customers/ At least 1-2 x after meal is served! Tipping is needed for customers, but better service you’ll see...

I went in recently with a few friends and had a fantastic experience here. Our server was attentive, but could also see that our group was busy in conversation through most of the meal so she wasn't over bearing with her service. She made us feel welcome and appreciated by pulling a table together for us quickly and without question. As a young adult it has been my unfortunate experience at other restaurants to recieve lesser service, which I assume has been mainly over the prejudice that young people don't tip well. Having worked in the food industry myself for the last decade along with my friends who also have food industry experience, that paticular viewpoint or stigma couldn't be more misplaced. Thank goodness our waitress showed absolutely no signs that our money mattered any less than anyone elses. Along with the good service me and my friends recieved, almost every part of our recent experience at the Thai Kitchen was well worth coming in. I ordered the peppered beef from the lunch menu options, which were each priced around 7 dollars. Being a fan of spicy food, and avid believer that one should break a sweat during a meal to really enjoy their experience, I chose the level 4 spicyness option which is ranked on a scale of 1(mildest) - 5(hottest). The food came out in a decently timely fashion, hence the 4 instead of 5 star rating, and was absolutely delicious. The food itself was piping hot as far as temperature level, portion size was more than enough for the price, and the spice level was enough to help me break my nessicary food workout sweat without masking the unique flavor of the dish. The cup of egg drop soup was merely an added bonus to what was already an overall very delicious meal. Its been a while since I had eaten here because of no reason in paticular, which made me think to myself as we were leaving that I won't wait so long...
