I used to eat in and order out from here a lot, at least once a month. The food is generic, which isn't a bad thing however its nothing to praise. The prices aren't outrageous so at least they know where they stand. However almost every time I have eaten in or ordered out the customer service is basically non-existent. When you go in they sit you down and you have to wait for your waitress to either finish her text or her phone call with her friend before she'll come over to take orders. If you order it to go they just push the food at you and want you out of there as fast as possible, a drive-thru would be a better experience. The most recent time was the final time that I will be going here, after we went inside to pick up our order the lady told us there were no plastic bags left, and asked if we wanted one or two paper bags, we asked for TWO (2) and she then proceeded to say "I managed to fit it all into one bag" and shoved it to us. Now clearly she is working here after losing her job as a bagger at Smith's because she put the sauce with a plastic lid underneath the heavy chicken and then put the heavy rice on top of it. Obviously the lid broke, the sauce leaked everywhere, ruining the inside of the car and other things. I called in to say something about it and the lady who answered said "Oh no we have tons of plastic bags, you just didn't ask for one." After multiple attempts to explain that we were told that there were no plastic bags, the lady continued to just lie about what had happened and literally laughed at anything I said. "No no no you just didn't ask for a plastic bag, I remember" and "You said one bag was fine" came from her quite a lot.
TL;DR The food is very generic, by no means is it bad, but it's the same Chinese food you could get literally anywhere else. But its the service that really makes this place awful, no concern for customers, no owning up to mistakes, just lies to...
Read moreThis was not a pleasant experience. As I told my spouse, we've been there twice - our first and our last. The Bo-Bo was quite disappointing - cold pork with mustard, KETCHUP, and sesame seeds, plain fried wonton, and some else that was forgettable. The Bo-Bo platter was part of the D Family Dinner. The eggflower soup was more "flour" than "flower" - we expected egg drop soup, but alas it was not. The cashew chicken was full of chopped celery and a flour-y gravy; the ying young chicken was just like the fried shrimp in taste - greasy. There was nothing special at all about the special fried rice.
In addition to the lack of taste in the food, servers would talk across the room and among themselves in the dining room - loud enough for customers to hear.
Finally, there was some weird ring or bell that would periodically sound. It seemed to be tied to a numbered system along the ceiling - makes me think it must have been a different type of restaurant at some point. In any event, it...
Read moreI ordered take-out tonight and the service and food was good, except that I was not given exactly what I ordered. I made the order over the phone, which was confirmed before I hung up. When my husband went to the restaurant to pick up the order, it was confirmed there, too. So, I didn't notice the mistake until we were all home with the food. The receipt my husband was given wasn't itemized, so I was unable to tell if it was just a misunderstanding. I ordered the Bo-Bo Platter, the #2 Combination Dinner, and a large order of General Tso's Chicken with fried rice. The appetizer, combo, and every side was correct, but the large order of General Tso's came as a large order of sweet and sour pork (just like the combo). So we were given a TON of sweet and sour pork, which was ok, but my husband didn't get to have what he likes, which is General...
