We walked in to an empty restaurant and your server was sitting at a booth talking on the phone which was fine, honestly, that did not bother me at all, i know she was bored. A few minutes after, she finally came over, with her earbuds in still talking on the phone, took our order. Decided she didn't need to write it down so asked again 3 different times what we ordered while she was cooking our food--bare handed, no mask on (even the lack of mask didnt bother me) during covid. Then when the food is cooked, literally bare handed no gloves, put the toast on the plate and touched the bacon, as well. Absolutely disgusted! Even with covid out of the picture it is NOT OK to touch someone's food. She put the food down in front of us, i told my husband DO NOT EAT THAT. And she asked what I said, I said where she could hear me, DON'T EAT THAT. We sat there a minute debated and decided to walk out without touching the food. She came outside as we were leaving, I'm assuming to ask why we left. I told my husband to stop and roll the window down but he did not as he was so mad, so we drove off. I have been to many locations for the last 45 years and have never had anything but positive things to say, at every other location, but at this location, they were so rude, sarcastic and condescending. I tried to politely express that I wasn’t comfortable with the way I had been spoken to, it was very abusive. I was told told to get over over it, and that I was obviously not their normal customer and shouldn’t expect to have the service that would be expected at any other restaurant because they were busy. I only asked to be treated with respect. I asked to speak to the manager and she was just as obnoxious and laughed at my concerns. Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. This is my 3rd time trying to come to this Waffle House since I work at a dealership down the street. This might be the worst staff as a whole I have ever seen. They never answer the phone even if they are not busy. I sat in the restaurant for 20 minutes waiting to have my order taken. 4 different people walked up after me to pay their bill and were taken ahead of me even though I was first in line. Then a couple comes in, sits down, gets coffee as well as their order taken before I have even told them what I wanted. Then I asked what I was waiting on and the woman at the grill states that she is going to take my order soon because she was cooking. This has nothing to do with the fact that the other woman could have just wrote down what I wanted in 10 seconds max. She then starts arguing with me about patience and I have been there for 30 minutes at this point with no food even in the making. This is definitely my last trip to this location.
