Yes there are some friendly folks that work here, but my latest experience has taught me to go elsewhere for Stihl repairs. Keep in mind that Hedlund's is an authorized Stihl dealer. Took my Stihl blower in for repair. Got called that same day that the repairs were completed. Wow! Same day! I am really impressed. All the other places I called had a wait time of about 10 days. Pick up the blower, pay the $42 dollars and change and get it home only to discover that the problem was not fixed. (The motor would not run at max RPM's). Anyone with a blower knows this issues defeats the entire purpose of having one. Take it back. One week later (no call from Hedlund's) I call and inquire the status. They could nit find a problem. Go back, pick up blower, Mike Hedlund, gruff, occasionally unfriendly, tells me again they tested it, blew off their parking lot, found nothing wrong. Take the blower outside their business, start it up...same issue! Call them outside to show them that I was not a complete moron and their answer to me was, and I quote: "Sorry, there's just so much we can do". Went immediately to Reynold's Farm Equipment (where I usually go) They tested the machine, diagnosed the problem as something in the carburetor, and suggested I try a gasoline additive/stabilizer, rather than replace the carburetor to the tune of $125. Took the machine home...five minutes later, runs like a top again. Moral of this story: don't bother with Hedlund's for repairs of this type and do NOT expect friendly, customer service either. I wasted my time and money....
Read moreI went to Hedlund Hardware on Keystone today. I stopped at the key rings display. While I'm looking at different key rings, a male employee and male customer were talking Politics. Everyone has their own opinion concerning the Presidential election. My concern is when the conversation turned to the football game on Sunday. The cashier asked the customer would he be playing tomorrow and he told him no. The cashier said "take a knee" and started laughing about his comment. The customer was startled to see me and when I walked to the register so was...
Read moreIncredibly disorganized(but not in the fun old school hardware store way), very grumpy and rude men working there who were not very helpful, and it seems like when something doesn’t have a marked price(which is most of the inventory) they just make up a price at the register which was much higher than most other stores even compared to other small hardware stores. I definitely do not recommend it. I was looking for an local alternative for basic hand tools instead of going to lowes and...
