I was less offended when a customer service representative from the Avon store named Julio was caught on camera stealing my cell phone off of the register and they had to call the police.
I would like to start this by saying that I evaluate multi family, housing properties and financial institutions on their professionalism, customer service, efficiency of staff members, ability to follow protocol and salesmanship. At this Ross location, I witnessed the most unbelievable display of unprofessionalism by not just a store employee, but what I believe was the manager of the store that I have ever seen in all my years of evaluating people on the above mentioned characteristics. The store manager, on what shouldāve been a simple diffusing of a situation. Had they had any managerial skills set at all should have been very simple. Instead the store manager turned it into a total circus and was taunting the patron of the store. Now, if my opinion counts for anything, I think that it would be best that this so-called manager be removed from her position stripped of that title entirely and be given actual instructions on what it means to be a manager and how to lead people. Because if her leadership skills have any indication of what this store has to offer I have no doubt eventually it will fail fail fail. I already would assume that the store is not one of the higher grossing establishments in the Ross chain. Based on what I saw at the store, I will never shop there again. I will direct anybody that I can to never shop there again. Would like to stick a sign on the door explaining why nobody should go to this location. There are many many locations in Indianapolis that area where the patrons of the store are regarded as highly as they should be. After all they are the reason that the people who work there currently have a job at all. To have a manager for a retail establishment choosing tontaunt a patron is unconscionable. Just flat out ridiculous. I would also like to mention the entire staff was dressed very slovenly, they were using inappropriate language, they made the choice to make negative comments about people there right in front of them. Iāve never seen anything like. Like I said I evaluate peoples customer service skills for a living. So I feel that Iām qualified to say that this stores customer service is so far below par I wanted to get the no stars at all. Whoever may read these messages, Should they take into consideration what Iām saying and go watch the staff members at this location. Go unannounced, donāt tell them who you are. Just going and shop during a couple different shifts. See how theyāre dressed, how they act. See the behavior of the staff. I am certain you will come to the same conclusion that I have. Please give them some proper training or fire them and get them out of their entirely. I donāt care I wonāt be going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible Service! The line was wrapped around the store and the ONE cashier who was was ringing people up requested assistance several times. Nobody came to the rescue. So I went to the back where two employees were preparing merchandise to be put on the floor and ask for a manager. The first young man laughed at me. The young lady who was there told me he's over in the fitting room. I walked into the fitting room he ( Manager Stevenson) was sitting in a chair arms crossed scrolling on his phone talking to another worker very leisurely. I asked if there was somebody who could help the young lady due to the line being wrapped around the store. He looked appalled at my request! He told the girl that he was talking to go help ring. She came to help about 7 minutes later he came 5 minutes after her. This was after he rolled his eyes and huffed! Awful! I'm pretty sure Stevenson was not his real name. I won't be spending my hard earn cash...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in to shop for a friends birthday present and was appalled at the treatment I got from a store associate and security officer. While browsing I noticed a woman was literally 2 steps behind me throughout the store. Finally I turned and asked her if she was following me. She said yes because the security officer had told her I had stolen a bunch of items a week prior. I'm an avid Ross shopper but I had never even been in this location before today. I notified the woman of this and then asked the security guard why she had given the associate the inaccurate information. She was rude and dismissive. When I asked her name she said it didn't matter she was security that's all I need to know. It's a shame because this location is near my new home but I refuse to be treated so poorly even after alerting them I was not who they thought I was. If you expect to be treated with respect and valued as a customer...
