If you need anything framed or want good customer service DO NOT go to this Michaels. I had given my husband an authentic signed Peyton Manning jersey for his birthday and so we took it to Michaels to get framed. The lady that runs the framing department and is "supposed to be" knowledgeable in framing was Brenda Gordon. SHE WAS HORRIBLE.. She portrayed herself as being able to do any type of framing and stated it would be two weeks. Two weeks came and went no call.... call to follow up. She claimed the frame arrived but broke so she had to order another one. Another month passed nothing. Call again and she claimed this time that she actually doesn't know how to frame jerseys and had to go to school for it. Frustrated by this she said that she would give us a $100 credit on the order and it would be ready in a couple of weeks.. time came and went always having an excuse and never calling to follow up with us. I was always the one calling. Next thing I know we are five months into waiting on this frame and the excuses did not stop. So I finally said if you can't complete this then just let us know so we can go somewhere else. Oh no she said she wanted to do it but would refund all of our money. Went in to pick it up today and it looks HORRIBLE. The screws she used caused bubbling in the frame, the jersey is oddly folded in the frame, the corners she chipped and attempted to paint it black I guess thinking we wouldn't notice, and it was not stitched in the frame evenly, and it had the back border coming out of the sides. The manager, Robert, who was on duty called her and when I got her on the phone I said this is really messed up and she said quote "oh I know doesn't it look horrible". Then she proceeded to blame it on everything but herself and then tried telling my husband it was not a $1400 frame but a $450 frame. That is incorrect.. we may have paid $450 for it but normally the cost of this frame is $1400. My husband, upset and rightfully so left and this Robert manager had the nerve to cuss at me telling me how my husband needs to calm down and he was out of line. Even when I asked if we could just go to another Michaels store to have them fix this he didn't bother helping with that and then tried telling me he is a customer service manager. Well let me go on record that he was the worst customer service manager I have ever dealt with and both him and Brenda should be fired. I will NEVER go to a Michaels again and now we have to try and find someone to fix this when it should have been done right five months ago. Read moreI can confirm from the last review that some managers don’t help out when associates are on the registers. I have made over 30 sign ups and credit cards was in the range, but I receive complaints when customers are not using the kiosk and I ask for help while toning customers, there was more to deal with. There’s less work ethics from certain managers that can’t even ask for help because they too busy staring at you while crumbling trying to please customers and do task. There be occasions where I couldn’t get no manger help at and from certain people. Everyone multitask but then there’s people that make excuses. I had anxiety working at a place you can’t even ask for a raise even starting from scratch it’s not enough to take time away from your life because this environment is hostile. Plus my schedule I barely had any call offs because I was focusing on please the company and whole time I needed self care, there were certain support but the hiring manager take more vacations than give vacations, so I had put my foot down and toke a break.
If HR is reading is please keep status of the managers because some of them in to be higher rank and some need to be demoted 💯. Because not everyone is cooperate and o refuse to let a bad review of the kiosk make me feel like I have to tolerate unfairness. I have worked with everyone but not everyone are well to work with because there’s lack of appreciation and people like me have to find jobs is hard to work with people that’s unfair when you do all the work beyond your requirement. I represent for every associate that buss their life to work because this world when people get paid more hit do anything to anybody working for them it’s unfair.

Read moreI understand things are tense right now with Covid, but with that being said customer service is still a thing. I placed an order for curbside pick up at 10 am that was supposed to be available before 3pm I called them around 2 to see if they could give me a closer time/status update, instead of letting me finish my question the lady interrupted me to say “Well did you get a email saying it was ready?” Well... no that’s why I called and politely asked for a status update. And she said “We don’t want you to call us until you get the email that it’s ready and you’re outside.” I don’t know maybe it’s the 12 years in customer service in me that’s having a hard time understanding their system here. Even Walmart gives you a time for pick up when you order. Anyway, I didn’t get the notification for my order being READY until 5:58... they close at 6. So much for being ready by 3pm. Finally I go to pick it up the next day and again I’m assuming it was the lady from the phone yesterday who came out as she was interrupting me every time I spoke. She didn’t treat me like a customer until after she gave me my order and said “Have a good day.” I literally ordered two charcoal pencils and two poster boards.... I needed them the day I ordered them otherwise I would’ve just got them from Amazon Prime for not only cheaper but free next...
